The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate that they have a history of putting students first, have excellent public relations skills, be up to date on the use and implementation of technology in the classroom, have a strong knowledge and understanding of best practices in curriculum and instruction, be able to supervise and evaluate classroom teachers and be able to help guide professional learning communities and action research within the classrooms. High School Assistant Principal

Job Description: The Assistant Principal assists the Principal in managing the school’s educational and instructional programs, operations, and personnel to ensure the educational, emotional, social, and physical needs of all students. In addition they assist with the following duties: -Development of building policies and procedures dealing with behavior management, and parent/student/teacher issues. -Development of the building of the Master Schedule, determining assignment of teachers, students and locations. -Supervision & coordination of registration procedures. -Coordination and monitoring of student database, attendance procedures and records. -Foster high school achievement through coordination and supervision of student personnel services to ensure student’s educational needs are met. -Supervision of professional staff through Charlotte Danielson Frameworks model of assessment process. -Coordination & monitoring of grade reporting procedures and maintenance of student records. -Resolve operational problems of the school in the absence of the Principal. -Integral member of the district leadership team serving on district and community committees. -Perform related duties as apparent or assigned. -Assists with hiring and evaluations of licensed staff. -Familiar with the AVID system This position with the Faribault Public Schools commences on July 1, 2016.

Substitute Teacher

Teach students with emotional and behavior disorders within a school setting for grades K-12, operated in conjunction with a residential treatment facility for children and adolescents. Responsibilities include creating a positive and supportive classroom climate, engaging in a variety of instructional techniques and behavior management strategies that insure effective implementation of student IEP’s, administering lesson plans, providing instruction on assigned subject areas, and providing crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed.
