Job Description: A 1.0 FTE Long-term Substitute Early Childhood teacher position for Falcon’s Nest Preschool, a Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten site at Roosevelt Elementary School. Qualified candidates will offer a developmentally appropriate learning environment, with the focus on cognitive, social/emotional, language, literacy, and physical/motor development of students. This teacher will also work with a classroom paraprofessional to create a warm welcoming environment for parents and children. The position is 5 days a week from 7:30AM-3:30PM. This position commences on November 29th, 2023 to approximately February 20th, 2024. Falcon’s Nest Preschool is a part of the Minnesota Centers of Excellence Pyramid Model Innovation Grant. Applicants with knowledge and experience in a multi-tiered system of support for young learners are preferred.

SUMMARY
Under general supervision, operates school transit bus on assigned routes to and from school and special events; provides safe and secure transportation service to students. Work is performed in a transit vehicle in a traffic environment, with moderate physical requirements. Required to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Drives students to and from school and special events.
Monitors students and enforces District policies and rules of conduct.
Reports behavior issues and other concerns to supervisor.
Performs daily vehicle inspections, and assures the bus is operating correctly.
Conducts complete post-trip interior inspection of school bus for remaining students before leaving bus.
Inspects vehicle, and identifies vehicle problems requiring additional maintenance and repair.
Cleans the bus interior, sweeps the floors, and cleans windows and seats.
Completes all required written reports on a daily basis.
Knowledge of
Safety rules and regulations, and safe driving techniques in all road conditions.
Local geographical area, road systems, and City and state traffic regulations.
First aid and CPR.
Capabilities, operational characteristics, adjustment and preventive maintenance of the type of vehicles to which assigned.

Education, Training and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.

We are looking for someone to work as part of our Lincoln Elementary EL team to provide differentiated support for our diverse group of English Learners and perform the possible duties outlined below. This position commences on as soon as possible.
Job Duties:Teach EL classes, as needed (levels 2.5-3.5).
Teach Recently Arrived English Learners in grades 2-5.
Co-teaching in mainstream classes.
Bilingual preferred but not necessary.
Work with the EL department to plan and implement new learning and strategies.

Job Description: 1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute EL Teacher – Roosevelt. The ESL teacher will be working with students at the elementary level. The teacher will be providing English language development instruction to students who are emerging multilingual learners. The teacher will be working with students at various levels of English proficiency and in different instructional modalities. The teacher will be running basic language development classes for lower leveled students, and doing a combination of pushing and co-teaching for higher leveled students. The teacher is expected to collaborate with the grade level content teachers to support the development of multilingual learners in their most advantageous learning environment. This position begins immediately upon hire.
