Job Description:
1.0 FTE Special Education ABS, SLD or DCD Teacher at Faribault High School. This position commences on approximately 8/21/23 with the start of the 2023-24 school year.
Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities. The school district currently serves approximately 3,700 students in Faribault and our surrounding areas within our community of 23,000 citizens within the city limits. District sites include one early childhood center, three elementary schools K-5, one middle school 6-8, one high school 9-12, one area learning center 9-12 and one education center for adult education.

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Director of Finance & Operations serves as the Chief Financial
Officer of the District responsible for the overall fiscal management of the District including budget preparation;
purchasing; district insurance selection, design and negotiations; accounting, fiscal reporting, cost analysis and
fiscal forecasting. As a member of the Leadership Team, the Finance Director provides leadership and
management for the district with an eye to continuously improving systems to support our mission.

Are you a STEM educator who is passionate about teaching middle school students? Do you have a strong interest in the areas such as robotics, drones, automation, engineering, coding, artificial intelligence, teamwork, and problem-solving? Our district’s robotics has qualified for the VEX VRC Robotics World Championships for two years in a row. We desire to build out and build up STEM programming and opportunities within our school district in an effort to broaden our students’ exposure to experiential learning.
We are seeking a candidate with a passion for Mathematics, Science, and/or STEM, or a related field, to join our team. If you have experience in these fields and a desire to share your knowledge with others, we encourage you to apply.

You should also have strong problem-solving skills and be able to plan collaboratively with your colleagues.
