Chatfield Public Schools has an immediate opening for a Technology Coordinator. Our advanced technologies provide innovative coordination and maintenance of various platforms and devices. This full-time position is 40 hours per week during the school year and offers flexibility with slightly fewer hours during the summer.

 

 

Health Services Coordinator

General Definition of Work: Performs intermediate professional work providing continuation of the nursing process steps throughout the district,  supervising staff, collecting data, facilitating meetings, and related work as apparent or assigned.  Work is  performed under the limited supervision of the Special Services Director.  Supervision is exercised over all personnel in the department.

Essential Functions:Supervises the health services staff including developing individual health plans, creating procedures, administering and overseeing assessments, collecting data from team members, interdisciplinary collaboration, interpreting assessment results, compiling data and facilitating team meetings.
Provides nursing diagnosis and treatment of student and staff; administers and records daily prescription or other medication; administers first aid and emergency or non-emergency situations.
Serves as a resource to staff and students for health or medical issues; informs staff of student health problems.
Providers support and care for students with chronic or acute health problems; assists and cares for students with health problems.
Assists with maintaining and updating student health records.
Refers students to appropriate staff or outside service providers.
Coordinates and implements screening and prevention of communicable diseases.
Plans and provides screening programs for vision, hearing and scoliosis; conducts follow up assessments from referrals.
Assists with coordinating the wellness programs and blood borne pathogens programs.
Recommends and monitors annual health services budget and staffing plans.
Monitors timelines and records for Health Services.
Participates in the referral process; communicates with parents and staff; attends meetings as necessary, and follows up with placed referrals.
Delegates, trains, supervises and provides direction to non-certified/unlicensed staff.
Attends various meetings as a representative and member of the district.

1.0 FTE Long-term Substitute Early Childhood Teacher – Jefferson Elementary

Job Description: A 1.0 FTE Long-term Substitute Early Childhood teacher position for Falcon’s Nest Preschool, a Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten site at Jefferson Elementary School.  Qualified candidates will offer a developmentally appropriate learning environment, with the focus on cognitive, social/emotional, language, literacy, and physical/motor development of students.  This teacher will also work with a classroom paraprofessional to create a warm welcoming environment for parents and children. The position is 5 days a week from 7:30AM-3:30PM. This position commences on November 27, 2023 to approximately Febuary 4th, 2023. Falcon’s Nest Preschool is a part of the Minnesota Centers of Excellence Pyramid Model Innovation Grant.  Applicants with knowledge and experience in a multi-tiered system of support for young learners are preferred.

ob Description: 1.0 FTE EL Teacher – We are looking for someone to work as part of our EL Middle School team to provide differentiated support for our diverse group of English Learners and perform the possible duties outlined below.  This position commences with the 2023-2024 school year on August 21, 2023.

Essential Functions:

Manage the 8th grade dual identified EL/SPED caseload.
Teach two 8th grade EL classes (levels 2.5-3.5).
Co-teaching in 8th grade math classes
Bilingualism preferred but not necessary.
Work with the department chair to plan and implement new learning and strategies.
Build positive relationships with students and families.
Collaborate with content area teachers positively and effectively.
Work with literacy coaches to educate content area teachers on best-practices for ELs in the mainstream

Job Description:                      Full-time (1.0 FTE) Secondary Math Teacher at Faribault High School commencing with the 2023-2024 school year on August 21, 2023. Course assignments could include Algebra I, Algebra II, Accelerate Algebra II.

• Collaborate with school personnel, parents and various community agencies for the purpose of improving the quality of student outcomes, developing solutions and planning curriculum.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.

• Maintain classroom management and consistently implement the program’s level system.

• Develop creative weekly lesson plans that meet needs of student learners.
• Deliver instruction utilizing appropriate resources, equipment, materials, technology and instructional strategies.

• Provide a positive role model of appropriate and respectful interactions with students and staff.
• Develop, teach, and review clear and concise classroom rules, routines, procedures, and expectations.
• Maintain constant and ongoing communication regarding students and all facets of the program.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork within the designated timelines.
• Create and support implementation of behavior improvement plans
• Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the Principal
