One full-time (1.0 FTE) EL teacher at Jefferson Elementary School. The EL teacher will be working with students at the elementary level. The teacher will be providing English language development instruction to students who are emerging multilingual learners. The teacher will be working with students at various levels of English proficiency and in different instructional modalities. The teacher will be running basic language development classes for lower leveled students, and doing a combination of push-in and co-teaching for higher leveled students. The teacher is expected to collaborate with the grade level content teachers to support the development of multilingual learners in their most advantageous learning environment. This position commences with the 2023-2024 school year on August 21, 2023.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Counsel with students on an individual and/or small group basis regarding personal, emotional, social and behavioral concerns including providing crisis intervention services as needed.
- Support implementation of social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
- Conduct developmental guidance lessons in classroom settings, as planned in conjunction with the student support team, classroom teachers, and/or District-level barrier work.
- Analyze barriers data; create, and implement interventions in conjunction with building support for teachers and principal.
- Assist families to better understand the school and its programs and to strengthen the communication link between school and home.
- A liaison to administrators, teachers, and families in identifying referrals to outside support agencies.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
