Job Description:  Faribault Public Schools seeks a full time school psychologist commencing with the start of the 2023-24 school year.  Faribault school psychologists work as part of innovative, professional, and collaborative teams. They are valued team members and have the opportunity to work on special education evaluations, individual student consultation and problem solving, and serve as a resource for staff.

Full Time Teacher – 1.0 FTE Special Education DCD Setting III Teacher

Job Description:                   1.0 FTE Special Education DCD Setting III Teacher at Jefferson Elementary School.  This position commences with the start of the 2023-24 school year.

Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities. The school district currently serves approximately 3,700 students in Faribault and our surrounding areas within our community of 23,000 citizens within the city limits. District sites include one early childhood center, three elementary schools K-5, one middle school 6-8, one high school 9-12, one area learning center 9-12 and one education center for adult education.
The historic community of Faribault offers adventure, fun, unique dining, history, shopping and entertainment. 2.0 FTE EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS

Job Description:  Two full-time (1.0 FTE) Early Childhood Special Education Teachers with Faribault Public Schools.  These positions will work with children ages birth through five; supporting either our home-based birth to 3 program or our preschool programming which includes evaluations, inclusion support, or self-contained classrooms. Faribault ECSE teachers conduct evaluations, develop IFSPs/IEPs, and provide evidence-based special education interventions. Our teams utilize the EQIP model within the birth to 3 programming and the Pyramid Initiative within our preschool programs. Preschool classes are located in two of our elementary buildings and our early learning center which provides our program a variety of class models and locations.

These positions commence at the start of the 2023-2024 school year and will be assigned based on interviews with candidates as well as programming needs. You will be supported by a team that includes speech pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, other ECSE teachers, early learning coordinator, and case facilitator.

Online Learning School Counselor 1.0 FTE

General Definition of Work:
The Online Learning Counselor will create a positive online environment and support program fostering student success in accordance with Falcons Online Academy mission. The online learning counselor will provide support for online learning students , instruct and access students through an online learning management system; perform all related reporting duties; and communicate with students, parents and other staff accordingly. Location of position will be in-person at Faribault High School. This position commences with the 2023-24 School Year on August 21, 2023.

Essential Functions:

Communicate and interact regularly with students regarding questions, course progress, and any other general instructional needs.
Respond to individual student needs with counseling, consultation and referral services.
Counsels students individually and in small groups for specifically identified needs as endorsed by recognized curriculum.
Help students plan and schedule classes for graduation.
Assist the principal and/or the program coordinator in setting teachers schedules in response to students’ needs and desires.
Monitors student academic progress and communicates with parents on current achievements.
Coordinates and administers various testing programs; interprets test results for students, parents and administrators.
Initiates assembles and maintains accurate cumulative records and transcripts for students and protects their confidentiality.
Help students develop skills in career decision-making including analyzing relationships between their own interests, abilities, values and the working world.
Works with students to develop a plan for their post-secondary education by looking at their intended majors and school preferences and provides students with information on financing their intended program.
Consults with teachers to help them become more effective in dealing with student needs.
Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations in a timely and confidential manner.
Collect, analyze and maintain data on individual student achievement.
Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with building and district staff as needed.

.4 FTE Online Learning 7-12 Art Teacher

The Online Learning Teacher will create a positive online classroom environment and instructional program fostering student success in accordance with Falcons Online Academy mission. The online teachers will have access to a learning management system which houses all of the necessary course content. The online learning teacher will monitor online lessons, take attendance of students, assist with troubleshooting on technology set up, instruct and access students through an online learning management system; perform all related reporting duties; and communicate with students, parents and other staff accordingly. Location of position may be remote/hybrid; may be required to report in-person for things such as, but not limited to, professional development, open house, student/family meetings and/or conferences. Dedicated space will be available in a district building to work with students in person as needed. This position commences with the 2023-24 School Year on August 21, 2023.

Essential Functions:

Lead students through successful course completion through the Edgenuity Learning Management System.
Communicate and interact regularly with students regarding lessons, questions, assignments, course progress and any other general instructional needs.
Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations in a timely and confidential manner.
Collect, analyze and maintain data on individual student achievement.
Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with building and district staff as needed.
Full time teachers instruct up to 7 courses/sections per day/per semester or up to 150 students per semester, part-time teachers will have pro-rated course/students per semester.  Courses may include art and also general elective courses as necessary.

1.0 FTE Online Learning 7-12 Elective Teacher
