Job Title: Community Education – Youth Programs Coordinator
Faribault Public Schools seeks a full-time (240 days/year) Youth Programs Coordinator to help lead and oversee select out-of-school-time and youth development programs for the department and the district. These include Community School, Summer STEAM, Falcons After School, Little Falcons, Faribault Youth Center, Enrichment and other areas as needed.
General Definition of Work: The Youth Programs Coordinator will provide oversight and coordination in the areas of youth development and youth services programs. In addition, this position will also serve as a coordinator in the Community Education Department in cooperation with the building/program leads and directors. The coordinator will work directly with areas identified in need of youth programs, education and resources, while providing strategies and activities specifically designed for youth.
Essential Functions: Provide direct and indirect coordination services to students, staff and families in the area of youth programs, including (but not limited to) Community School, Summer STEAM, Falcons After School, Little Falcons, Faribault Youth Center, Enrichment and other areas as needed.
Provide consultation and support to students navigating educational opportunities best suited to their success.
Serve as a liaison as needed to develop and promote partnership opportunities in youth program experiences; serve on district committees representing youth programs.
Provide leadership, consultation and collaboration with teachers of students with youth program-related concerns; serve on various teams; attend meetings as a member of the district, provide training as needed.
Train staff on youth programs, youth development, and best practices as needed.
Identify and evaluate the needs of students in regards to youth programs; make program recommendations to address needs.
Help lead district efforts to increase the number of Faribault middle- and high-school age youth participating in extracurricular activities, in line with the district’s Achievement & Integration goals
Continually supervise students and staff to ensure safe, non-threatening and nurturing environments where all can thrive.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve District, building, departmental and/or grade-level goals; provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
Create and maintain various promotional materials for distribution and marketing of youth programs into the community.
Generate program funding by securing grants, assisting with fundraising, and facilitating funds.
Oversee required data tracking and evaluation for youth programs.
Monitor program budgets; work with the Community Education Director and program leadership to develop annual program budgets.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Assists in developing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives and participates in IEP meetings for students in the program.
Elementary Principal
Position Information: Directs and implements the policies of the School District and supervises the instructional staff and curriculum with the elementary school. Conducts assigned special projects as delegated by district administration.
School District: Independent School District No. 241, Albert Lea Minnesota, enrolls 3300 students. The district operates four Elementary Schools, a Middle School, an 8-12 High School, and an Area Learning Center.
Community: The School District serves the Freeborn County area with all school buildings located in Albert Lea. The city of Albert Lea is the county seat and is situated at the junction of federal Interstate Highways 90 and 35 in southeastern Minnesota.
Qualifications: Applicants shall have, or be eligible for, Minnesota licensure as an elementary principal. Applicant should possess a minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience. Prefer K-12 licensure and elementary principal experience.
Compensation: Salary range is $100,898 – $114,240 depending on experience. A substantial fringe benefit package will be made available. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a relocation incentive of $15,000.
