Secondary Dean of Students

Position Information:
As a teacher dean and member of the building’s administrative team, assume general responsibility for the education of assigned students. Serves as the educational liaison between the school and the students, helping to ensure the academic and social success of the students by assessing their collective and individual needs. The Dean implements, supervises and assists with the evaluation of programs to provide high expectations and positive support for student achievement, discipline, and attendance and coordinates efforts to develop and maintain effective relationships between the school and families.

  • Provide support services for students in the areas of academics, school rules and other matters.
  • Assist in developing programs to promote positive student behavior as well as intervention strategies.
  • Assist staff and parents in developing student behavioral expectations.
  • Manage student supervision issues and enforce student behavioral expectations; documenting student behavior through the student information system.
  • This position is in the teacher bargaining unit.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Minnesota teaching license for middle school, high school, or K-12.
  • MN Administrative Licensure or currently pursuing or willing to pursue Administrative licensure is preferred but not required.
  • At least five years experience in the education field
  • Excellent communication skills to include problem-solving skills with students and adults.
  • Excellent human relations skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with students, families and staff.
  • Demonstrated ethical behavior and confidentiality required.
  • Demonstrated self-starter. Ability to work independently.

Social Studies Teacher

Anticipated English Language Arts Teacher

Secondary Resource Specialist

Position Summary:

  • The Resource Specialist will provide training, consultation and support to teachers, instructional staff, administrators and school-based leadership teams to facilitate the implementation of System of Supports at the school level. This role will work collaboratively with the Teaching and Learning. This role is to support staff and involves direct student contact and coordinating with families.  Responsibilities include directly supporting all learners, with an emphasis of those learners identified as needing direct and indirect support as a result of learning loss caused by the Covid19 pandemic.

Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and implement research-based instructional practices in ECSE classrooms; assist ECSE team in using data to drive and refine instructional practices; assist in identifying exemplary supplemental and intervention early learning materials
  • Monitors and evaluates the system for referral, assessment and service options for the child referral process
  • Interprets and monitors the criteria for early childhood special education eligibility
  • Conducts assessments, testing and diagnostic examinations of students for the purpose of identifying learning issues, and recommending courses of action or corrective procedures to overcome issues and maximize learning
  • Assists students and teaching staff in implementing students’ IEP’s and behavior management plans

English Teacher
