Worthington Middle School is seeking two School Counselors/School Social Workers. Candidates should have knowledge of school counseling theories and practices; have the ability to work effectively with students and families from diverse backgrounds; and possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Candidates should also have experience in identification and facilitation of individual and small group counseling interventions to support developmental and preventative needs of students in the school. Another requirement of this position is to assist the district data and assessment coordinator with the organization of the building-wide state testing responsibilities. Candidates would work closely with the current team of 2 Counselors and 1 Social Worker as well as Administration. Applicants must hold a valid K-12 School Counseling license in the state of Minnesota. Salary will follow the Teacher Master Agreement. This position qualifies for the Federal Student Aid Stafford Loan Forgiveness Program for Teachers.
