POSITION AVAILABLE:  ALC Dean of Students

POSITION LOCATION:  Southwest West Central Service Cooperative (SWWC), with placement at the ALC– Windom located in Windom, MN.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  The ALC Dean of Students assists the Director of Alternative Programs in the overall administration and support for alternative education programs.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Assist with student behavior management and discipline, including problem solving behavioral concerns, utilizing positive behavior supports.
Provide supplementary support to teachers by monitoring student progress and addressing issues before they escalate.
Collaborate with districts and students to understand challenges and identify opportunities for growth.
Facilitate meetings as needed to address student needs and ensure continuous program development.
Contribute to the implementation of operational guidelines related to building organization, maintenance, security, student conduct, and food service.
Promote the program as a reputable, long-term educational option rather than a temporary solution.
Identify areas for improvement and ensure students receive comprehensive support to thrive academically and socially.
Support the administrator in overseeing day-to-day program operations while prioritizing hands-on student engagement.
Provide effective public relations and customer service with member districts, staff, parents, MDE, and the general public; conduct staff meetings to share information and gather feedback.
Monitor student attendance and work collaboratively with social workers and county staff to resolve truancy concerns.
Act as the site contact for managing the student referral process and summer school programming.
Attend IEP meetings as the administrative designee.
Implement and enforce all policies and regulations as required by the agency and applicable laws.
Regular and prompt attendance is essential to the role.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred; with considerable experience as a teacher; Minnesota licensure as teacher required; valid driver’s license required.

 

SALARY:  This part-time position (108 days) begins on August 6, 2025, for the 2025-2026 school year, with a salary range of $32,952 to $46,937, depending on education, qualifications, abilities, and experience.

POSITION AVAILABLE:  Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – multiple positions available

 

POSITION LOCATION:  SWWC is located and provides service to school districts in the Southwest and West Central portion of Minnesota. This position would provide services in-person, or in a virtual or hybrid delivery model.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

The Educational Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) identifies, evaluates, designs, and implements appropriate plans for students, writes IEPs, and is a member of the Child Study Team.  The Educational SLP also meets with parents, interprets student progress, informs parents about their child’s progress, and is available for in-services.  These services will take place onsite.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of Master’s Degree.  CCC-SLP preferred, however, CFY is available.  Need to be licensed/eligible for licensure in the State of Minnesota and also have a valid driver’s license.

 

CONTRACT/SALARY: This full-time position begins on August 6, 2025, for the 2025-2026 school year, Bachelor’s degree salary range of $50,855 to $71,248.  Master’s salary range of $60,646 to $92,477.  PhD salary range of $70,196 to $94,068.  Salary depending on education, qualifications, abilities, and experien-ce.
