Job Summary: Under the direction of the Human Resource Coordinator, the Human Resource Generalist performs specialized duties involving data retrieval, data analysis and report/document creation in relation to the Human Resource department. Decision-making requirements for this position tend to require independent judgment and discretion. This position provides administrative office support to the Human Resources department to support in the assurance of the effective and efficient operation of the school district.
SECTION II: Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitors and tracks employee leave in the Districts leave system.
Creates reports and notification of leave for Human Resource department and Administrative team.
Communicates with employees concerning questions, issues or problems concerning leaves usage.
Manages District Employee data base- (all areas including set-up, trouble shooting, data integrity and training for staff)
Maintains employee electronic data files and paper files in regards to HR/Payroll data according to records retention guidelines and data practices act.
Compiles and maintains information for mandated staff trainings and testing.
Schedules trainings and tests for district staff.
Tracks staff completion.
Creates report and notification of data to appropriate departments.
Ensures all annual notification are posted appropriately according to guidelines.Assists with organization of data for annual reports required for the department.
Provides administrative office support to the Human Resource department.
Answers HR Help emails, routes to the appropriate department/ person after determining the nature of the email.
Type routine correspondence, letters, forms, training evaluation letters, or materials provided by staff in draft forms.
Produces confidential correspondence, reports, and documents.
Files forms, correspondence, letters and/or documents in accordance with established office routines.
Enters data into department files and records either hard copy of data files / records in District electronic computer files/ records.
Performs other duties of a comparable level or type, as required.
Attends training sessions, departmental meetings
Assists in special projects as directed
Keeps abreast of changing developments and issues pertaining to areas of responsibilities.
Learns and is cross-trained in other administrative support functions within the department.
Performs other related duties within the scope of the Human Resource Generalist position as assigned or required to contribute to the efficient operation of Worthington Public Schools.
SECTION III: EDUCATION AND WORK REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications:Minimum requirement of a High School diploma.
Preferred experience in Human Resource functions
Preferred Associates degree preferably in Human Resources or a related field
Valid MN Driver’s License without restrictions
Experience:Preferred three years’ experience with Human Resources information systems and benefit administration.
Preferred experience working with employee salary/benefits and employment laws.
Preferred experience working with multiple computer programs related to employment.

Worthington District 518 Community Education is seeking an Early Childhood (EC) teacher. MARSS/Data and Assessment Manager
Position Description Position Summary:
The Minnesota Auditing Reporting Student System (MARSS)/Data and Assessment Manager position is supports data management throughout the district. This position will accurately collect, evaluate, and report student data, which includes but is not limited to: MARSS and District Assessment management, which includes support for the administration of the district testing program.
Essential Functions:Directs building staff in on the MARSS student system to the Minnesota Department of Education
Maintains student records in Campus, including State ID’s
Maintain system for tracking and reporting in and out-of-district non-resident enrollment
Compiles information needed for Federal Civil Rights Data Collection as requested
Maintains data integrity, configures, and generates reports in student and census tracking software
Completes annual data reports such as SSDC (RAELs, Immigrant, Migrant)
Coordinates the collection, release and reporting of student and census data within data practices laws and district policies.
Track and maintain testing training information.
Order and organize test materials.
Participate in trainings to ensure district is compliant with MDE and Vendor assessment requirements.
Assist with Data Disaggregation work (D2 pilot for enrollment)
Ensure that state requirements are met for data and assessment (testing calendars up to date, ensures compliance for the completion of staff test training)
Ensure vendor testing contracts are in place (ACT, AP)
Prepare materials for testing that occurs in school buildings
Arranges and ensures that accommodations are correctly listed in TestWes
Distributes testing materials to buildings
Inventory testing materials upon arrival at district, and between buildings
Orders tests in a timely manner
Completes pre and post-test editing
Supports sites for test administration
Verifies that schools are in compliance with all testing requirements 6.6.21
Prepare student data in assessment database: coordinate with appropriate personnel, confirm student eligibility, and enter approved accommodations.
Prepare for assessments (order testing materials, run log-in forms, confirm groupings, assign and distribute materials, etc).
Enter student answers for scripted paper/pencil assessments.
Distribute assessment results to all pertinent stakeholders.
Pull data as requested including sorting, ad hoc reports, color coding, charting, etc…
Order, distribute, and collect ACCESS tests from buildings.
Enter ELL data (LEP, FLEP, ACCESS, WAPT).
Complete data entry in the MARSS system for tracking EL students.
SLIFE, RAELS, Immigrant, Migrant Reports
Import, modify, and extract data from other data platforms (Ellevation, Viewpoint)
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of educational experience beyond High School or 2 years of experience related to an office setting. Demonstrate excellence in working in an office setting with core responsibilities in the data entry/reporting of data. A team centered person that is approachable, self-motivated and committed to quality work and support of the department.
Preferred Qualifications:
BS degree in business, education, related field or a minimum of four years working in an office setting with core responsibilities in the data area. Previous experience with school district reporting (Infinite Campus, Data Warehouses and Other Business software).
Specific training/skills:Ability to build collaborative and confidential relationships with teachers, administration, and support staff
Demonstrated expertise in working with software programs including Word, Excel, Google Docs, and ability to learn school software programs
