Position: Assistant Principal
Location: Willmar Area Learning Center, (Grades 8-12)
Type: Full-Time –8 Hours per day, 215 Contract days
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Student Services: Take charge of student management, discipline, and academic achievement. Coordinate and implement discipline and attendance programs, enforce rules, and follow up on referrals. Make informed decisions concerning discipline and suspensions to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
Event Supervision: Participate in and supervise various school events, functions, and activities to ensure smooth operations and student engagement.
Collaborative Leadership: Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance student achievement. Implement district and building policies effectively while addressing behavioral issues and documenting disciplinary actions.
Teacher Supervision and Evaluation: Supervise and evaluate teachers and departments, conducting observations and formal evaluations. Provide mentorship and support to staff, aiding in their professional development.
Public Relations: Act as a liaison between stakeholders, including teachers, counselors, parents, and students, addressing discipline and welfare concerns effectively.
Safety and Security: Monitor and assist in building security measures, formulating procedures to safeguard the safety of students and staff.
Committee Participation: Collaborate on district or building-level committees, task forces, and administrative meetings to address educational issues and operational concerns.

POSITION AVAILABLE: Administrative Assistant
POSITION LOCATION: Southwest West Central Service Cooperative (SWWC) with placement in Windom, MN.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant performs skilled administrative support, coordinates day-today operations and provides assistance to staff, students, and others and related work as apparent or assigned.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Administrative assistant provides skilled administrative support; maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; assists with the onboarding of new employees, orientation, and completion and tracking of employment paperwork; utilizes a variety of electronic systems including such things as Honeywell, Survey Monkey, SWWC website, SMART systems, STAR, MARSS, etc.; provides good public relations and customer service with member districts, staff, parents, students and the general public; performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Two-year college degree and moderate experience in a job-related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a job-related field that enables performance of all aspects of this position. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to demonstrate confidentiality. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Criminal background check will be conducted on successful applicant.
SALARY: $19.31/hour and up dependent upon education, qualifications, and experience; excellent fringe benefits. Full-time position to begin 5/15/2024; working 235 days per year; 7.5 hours per day.

Art Teacher
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Building Principal and/or the guidance of the Assistant Principal, the Licensed Art Teacher is responsible for developing student’s interest, abilities and skills for artistic expression and creativity in visual arts, presenting district curriculum in assigned instructional subjects; delivering and instructing students in lesson plans and instructional material; evaluating and assessing student progress against instructional outcomes and objectives. Licensed Art Teachers also participate and collaborate with other instructional professionals, administrators, parents, and other district personnel concerning student needs, issues and district learning initiatives, curriculum and building issues.
