Job Summary:

Plan and implement out-of-school-time programs in six-member school districts (Adrian, Ellsworth, Fulda, HL-O, RL-B, Worthington). Develop lessons for secondary students that address the following goal areas: academic success, civic engagement, college & career readiness, cultural integration, and leadership development. Utilize bilingual skills to assist students and families to successfully navigate local systems. Work with other NCIC staff members to promote cultural integration and student success in member school districts in accordance with local integration plans.

Early Childhood Teacher

Assistant Principal

Position: Assistant Principal

Location: Willmar Area Learning Center, (Grades 8-12)

Type: Full-Time –8 Hours per day, 215 Contract days

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Student Services: Take charge of student management, discipline, and academic achievement. Coordinate and implement discipline and attendance programs, enforce rules, and follow up on referrals. Make informed decisions concerning discipline and suspensions to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
Event Supervision: Participate in and supervise various school events, functions, and activities to ensure smooth operations and student engagement.
Collaborative Leadership: Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance student achievement. Implement district and building policies effectively while addressing behavioral issues and documenting disciplinary actions.
Teacher Supervision and Evaluation: Supervise and evaluate teachers and departments, conducting observations and formal evaluations. Provide mentorship and support to staff, aiding in their professional development.
Public Relations: Act as a liaison between stakeholders, including teachers, counselors, parents, and students, addressing discipline and welfare concerns effectively.
Safety and Security: Monitor and assist in building security measures, formulating procedures to safeguard the safety of students and staff.
Committee Participation: Collaborate on district or building-level committees, task forces, and administrative meetings to address educational issues and operational concerns.

 

Art Teacher

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Building Principal and/or the guidance of the Assistant Principal, the Licensed Art Teacher is responsible for developing student’s interest, abilities and skills for artistic expression and creativity in visual arts, presenting district curriculum in assigned instructional subjects; delivering and instructing students in lesson plans and instructional material; evaluating and assessing student progress against instructional outcomes and objectives.  Licensed Art Teachers also participate and collaborate with other instructional professionals, administrators, parents, and other district personnel concerning student needs, issues and district learning initiatives, curriculum and building issues.
