POSITION AVAILABLE: Director of Educational Learning Centers
POSITION LOCATION: This position will serve all regional Educational Learning Centers (Belview, Cosmos, Montevideo, Pipestone, Willmar, Windom, MN) and travel will be required.
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides overall leadership and oversight to SWWC’s Educational Learning Centers.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Communicates key decisions in a timely manner to the Senior Director of Special Services. Leads strategic planning for the Educational Learning Center and provides overall leadership and supervision for the Educational Learning Centers. Oversees the development of fiscal and hiring operations for the Educational Learning Centers. Collaborates and communicates with other administrators and across departments on the development and implementation of educational programs for the agency. Participates in the determination of program plans and curriculum requirements for students with disabilities. Provides good public relations with member districts, staff, parents, MDE, and the general public. Assists in MDE due process and fiscal monitoring and follow-up. Ensures legal and regulatory compliance, including due process and procedural safeguards are implemented. Analyzes staff development needs and provides staff development activities.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Special Education, Applied Behavior Analytics, or a related field. Extensive experience working with special education students and at-risk students, within an alternative educational setting, and/or in an educational leadership role. Minnesota Licensure as a Director of Special Education and/or Minnesota Licensure as K-12 Principal from Department of Education is preferred.
SALARY: 235-day contract for 2023-2024 school year, salary dependent upon education, qualifications, and experience; excellent benefits. Position to begin July 1, 2023.
