Job Summary: The Assistant Elementary Principal is part of the Administrative team that promotes the success of every student by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning. The Assistant Principal is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Monitor attendance/habitual truancies
Write Title One and ADSIS grants
Assist with Regular and Special Ed PreK transistions
Attend IEP/ER meetings and assist with descision-making
Assist with disciplanary issues including but not limited to lunch/recess referrals, classroom referrals, bus reports, etc.
Observe teachers and evaluate learning materials to determine areas where improvement is needed
Assist with hiring and training teachers & paras
Ordering and managing equipment and supplies
Evaluate and coach teachers
Supervising grounds and facilities maintenance
Supervising am/pm lunch & recess duty, bus duty
Conducting walkthroughs
Responding to emails from teachers, parents, etc.
Grow volunteer efforts and community relationships
