The Human Resources Director is a participating member of the District’s Administrative Team and is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing the delivery of HR programs and services. Specifically, the position serves in a generalist capacity overseeing and managing:
Compliance with applicable employment related federal and state laws
Serves as Human Rights Officer
Plans and coordinates the recruitment, hiring and on-boarding processes
Oversees substitute employee staffing processes
Serves as advisor to administrative and supervisory staff on personnel issues
Functions as liaison to district legal counsel for employment matters
Leads investigations concerning employee misconduct
Advises administrative staff and participates in the employee grievance process
Facilitates conflict resolution for labor relations
Serves as lead negotiator for collective bargaining
Interprets and administers employment contract language
Completes governmental compliance reports
Coordination of employee leaves of absence, personnel record-keeping, job descriptions, and other HR related functions
Coordinates activities of assigned committees
