Morris Area School District #2769 currently has two full-time elementary teacher positions open beginning with the 2020-2021 school year.

These positions require a valid Minnesota Teaching license. Co/Extra-Curricular positions may be available for those who are interested.

Interim Part-time Superintendent (.4 FTE)

The Browns Valley Public School’s main office is in Browns Valley, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of approximately 189 pre-kindergarten through grade eight students.

REQUIREMENTS:
The Browns Valley School Board is committed to finding a candidate who: is a people person with proven abilities in human relations and communication; is familiar with state and federal education laws; has knowledge of, and experience with, special education needs and a diverse student body; understands the effects of poverty on student learning and achievement; develops and directs an effective leadership team, effectively mediates and accommodates different perspectives, and values teamwork; and experience in school district management practices. Previous superintendent experience is required.

SALARY/BENEFITS:
A comprehensive compensation package will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. The term of this contract shall be from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021.

To be considered for this position, an applicant’s completed file must be received by the MSBA office by 11:59 p.m. on May 15, 2020, and must include the completed online application and the following uploaded documents: a cover letter indicating a desire to be a candidate for the “Browns Valley” superintendent; legal proof or other evidence (i.e. certificate/license) showing the candidate’s qualification to be a superintendent in the state of Minnesota; and a set of up-to-date credentials, which includes a current resume, at least three letters of recommendation, and a copy of the candidate’s official transcript(s) (upon hire, originals must be submitted to the school district).
