Summary of Job Duties:  This position will oversee students at Faribault Middle School and will be in charge of student management.  The candidate selected for this position works with the principal and other support personnel in order to build positive relationships with stakeholders, collaborate and communicate effectively through a variety of methods, provide leadership of behavior management and supervision; facilitate the resolution of conflict; plan, organize and manage time and resources.  This position is 210 days per year, beginning on 7/1/18.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Duties:
• Oversee behavior and student management (including bus referrals)
• Monitor and communicate student progress with students, families, administrators, and staff
• Help students work towards positive citizenship improving their academic and behavior skills and abilities
• Stay current with current best practices research and strategies
• Collaborate with the principal, assistant principal, and classroom teachers in a team environment
• Be relationship driven in working with staff, students, and families
• Creates an environment where children from diverse backgrounds are comfortable and experience success.
• Relates to students with mutual respect while carrying out a positive and effective disciplinary program.
• Excellent leadership, collaboration and, communication skills
• Knowledge of AVID program and strategies is a plus
• Knowledge of PBIS program and strategies is a plus
• Proficient in technology/iPads/understanding of Infinite Campus and Schoology is a plus
• Ability to work with and teach small groups/individual  students
• Meets schedules and deadlines
• Maintains consistent, punctual, and regular attendance
• Assume additional duties as assigned by building principal

High School Dramatics Director

Edina Public Schools has a Dramatics Director position available at Edina High School for the 2018-2019 school year (and potentially beyond).  The successful candidate will direct two or more productions per year and work closely with the Edina High School Thespians, as well as, the Edina High School Theater Boosters.  This is currently a stipend position but, if the candidate is a good fit with the program at Edina High School, the position could be ongoing.

Elementary Teacher

C.E. Jacobson Elementary (K-6) is looking for full time elementary teaching candidates to begin August 27, 2018.  The candidates for these positions will positively influence and engage our young learners in core academic subject areas.  The ability to build relationships with students, colleagues, and the community will be imperative. Experience working in a PBIS district that uses daily learning targets, and the ability to teach guided reading will be given strong consideration. The appropriate four-year degree with a license from the Minnesota Department of Education, which provides you the opportunity to teach K-6 students, is necessary.  Hours will be school days, aligned with the Teachers Master Contract.  Salary is based upon experience/qualifications.  Application deadline is June 1, 2018.  Questions may be directed to Principal Jason Mielke at [email protected] or 320-358-1362.
