PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This work regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing and occasionally requires pushing, pulling, lifting, and operating machines; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, and observing general surroundings and activities; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. school offices/classrooms/passageways).

AESP – Class IV-A Elementary Administrative Assistant

General Purpose of Job:  Provide in-depth secretarial/clerical support to the principal and staff of the elementary school.  Major emphasis is placed on the organization and coordination of the internal clerical office functions of the school including major responsibility for the Synergy system

Responsibilities:

Provide secretarial/clerical support to the principal and school staff in the form of typing, filing, scheduling, duplication of materials, answering phones.
Greet visitors and answer questions/concerns for the school to include functioning as a liaison between the principal and teachers, other management staff, students, parents and the general public.  Provides community resource information.
Maintain student records, all information required on cum files and on-line information system.  Enroll and withdraw students; record attendance; request records for new students.
Organize and prepare scheduling materials for distribution for parent/teacher conferences.
Design occasional flyers advertising special school events.
Design and write school newsletter/PeachJar
Maintain a high level of organization of general files for easy, accessible access.
Direct substitute teachers to appropriate classrooms, provide class schedule, collect end-of-day reports.
Maintain record of staff absences including processing of required personnel forms.
Responds to health concerns during health specialists absence on a daily basis.
Provide direction and training to office Education Support Paraprofessional (ESP).

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Extensive secretarial/clerical and computer skills including:  Google Suite, Publisher, Mail Merge, Word, Access
Extensive skills in developing and maintaining record system
Knowledge of district policies as they affect the general operation of the building
Ability to maintain confidentiality of the materials and information disseminated daily
Human relation strengths including helping, serving, and exchanging information
Strong communication skills; oral and written
Bilingual is helpful

Part-Time Licensed School Nurse

Summary/Objective
The licensed school nurse will work with member school districts to provide support focused on school-based health programs for PK-12. The role will include facilitation of nursing services, discerning needs of members, providing technical support and consultation, training, and coordinating with district teams within the region. This is a 10-month, 3-day/week, contracted position.

The licensed school nurse will also work in collaboration with the Resource Training & Solutions Health & Safety Team, Minnesota Department of Health, local public health, and regional healthcare systems.

Environment & Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some office organization and event set-up/tear-down is required. This would require the ability to move and lift 30 lbs., stand for extended periods of time, and carry items a short distance as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a mid-August-mid-June, 3-days/week contracted position. Hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Most work will be on-site at one of our member districts within Pine County.
