Speech and Language Pathologist

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Knowledge of school counseling theories and practices. * Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills. * Strong technology skills that support student success and data driven programming. * Ability to work effectively with students and families from diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities: The essential functions include but are not limited to the following fundamental duties: * Design, deliver, evaluate, and revise a comprehensive school counseling curriculum that supports students’ developmental needs in personal/social and academic domains for students in grades 9-12 at the school. * Identify and facilitate individual and small group counseling interventions to support developmental, preventative, and remedial needs of students in the school. * Participate in school based multidisciplinary team meetings that support student achievement and identify individual student intervention needs (Examples may include: Child Study, 504, Attendance, etc.). * Assist students with developing and attaining academic goals and plans. This may include academic and behavioral improvement plans, intervention plans, registration and placement, scheduling, test administration, transcript/credit evaluation, and working with prospective students and foreign exchange students, etc. * Participate in school decision making and activities which contribute to the effective operation of the school. * Accurately and appropriately utilize and interpret student data, as well as assist others to do so. * Consult and collaborate effectively with families, teachers, administrators, and other educational/community resources to address student needs. * Adhere to ethical and legal standards and best practices established by local, state and national counselor associations and the school.

Special Education Paraprofessional (1.0 FTE)
