The Minnesota State Academies Board is seeking candidates for the position of Superintendent. The successful candidate will begin work on or near July 1, 2016. This position exists to provide effective leadership directing programs, operations, activities and facilities of the Minnesota State Academies school district/state agency, responding to after hour or emergency requests and related work as apparent or assigned. Work involves setting policies and goals under the direction of the Minnesota State Academies Governing Board. Organizational supervision is exercised over all personnel within the organization. To provide leadership and connection with state and regional stakeholders and direct liaison activities with the Minnesota Legislature to continuously work toward aligning MSA goals with state legislation; to provide expertise and services to school districts, state agencies, community resources, families, and educational professionals needing consultation in education and best practices in the education of deaf/hard-of-hearing, blind/visually-impaired and deaf/blind students from birth to 21 years of age.
