Administers school student personnel program in junior or senior high school and counsels and disciplines students by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Primary Responsibilities:
Confers with teachers, students, and parents concerning educational and behavioral problems in school; disciplines according to District and state policies and laws; interprets same to staff, students, and parents.
Prepares reports such as Emergency and Student/Parent Handbooks, teacher daily attendance notices, monthly enrollment figures, drop/add or schedule change notices to teachers and TIES, AE reports to Guidance and Individualized Student Services, etc.
Develops and maintains school programs; meets with staff to discuss concerns.
Trains staff on administrative use of Osiris; develops methods to convert tasks to computer and coordinates Osiris with Ties.
Supervises staff and classroom observations/evaluations; including pre & post-observation conferences, growth plans, etc.; organizes/administers in-service teacher training.
Plans and supervises school student activity programs.
Gives individual and group guidance for personal problems, educational and vocational objectives, and social and recreational activities.
Talks with and disciplines students in cases of attendance and behavior problems.
Responsible for daily supervision of students including attendance at assemblies and athletic events; monitors at-risk students.
Monitors safety and security of building and site. Directs and coordinates teacher supervision of areas such as halls and cafeteria.
Serves on District/site curriculum committees.
Coordinates site initiatives and programs under the guidance of the Building Principal.
Maintains records of student attendance.
Arranges for and oversees substitute teachers.
Works with administrators to coordinate and supervise student teacher’s program.
