Industrial Technology Teacher
Foley Public Schools is accepting applications for a 1.0 FTE Industrial Technology Teacher (Grades 7-12) available beginning with the 2016-17 school year. Courses will vary depending on the strengths and experience of the applicants, but may primarily include Architectural Drawing, Engineering Drawing, Electricity I, Robotics/Engineering, Coding, Electronics, Welding & Fabrication, Machining & Sheet Metal, Woodworking classes. The successful candidate will enjoy excellent shop and classroom facilities. A focus on lab-based instruction is preferred. Candidates should possess strong technology skills and bring a cooperative professional approach to teaching. A preference will also be given to candidates with experience. Candidates must possess or be able to demonstrate ability to obtain appropriate licensure prior to the beginning of the 2016-17 school year. Coaching and/or Advisor positions are also available but are not a requirement for this position.
0.5 FTE Physical Education Teacher
Foley Public Schools is accepting applications for a .5 FTE Physical Education Teacher available beginning with the 2016-17 school year. Grade levels will vary but the primary age will be 4th-8th grade students. The successful candidate will enjoy excellent facilities that include a fieldhouse, track, pool, ball fields and green space in which to teach both indoor and outdoor activities. Foley Schools uses SHAPE standards for physical education and encourages physical activity. Candidates should possess strong technology skills and bring a cooperative professional approach to teaching. Candidates must possess or be able to demonstrate ability to obtain appropriate licensure prior to the beginning of the 2016-17 school year. Coaching and/or Advisor positions are also available but are not a requirement for this position.
Dean of Students-Social Studies Teacher
Foley Public Schools is accepting applications for a 1.0 FTE position to be split between High School Dean of Students and Social Studies Teacher available beginning with the 2016-17 school year. Courses taught may vary depending on the strength of the instructor and department. Successful candidates for this position will: enjoy working in a team environment; have experience working with students, particularly at the high school level; possess a high level of writing, speaking, listening and conflict resolution skills; possess a valid MN teaching license or demonstrate the ability to obtain such. Preference may be given to candidates with experience teaching Economics. Preference may also be given to candidates possessing administrative license or interested in exploring the administrative side of education.
Special Education Teacher
1.0 FTE Three Positions, for the 2016-17 school year. MAWSECO is seeking motivated teachers to work in a challenging and data-driven environment using the latest research-based strategies and materials to work with students with communication and neurological disorders. MAWSECO programs enroll students from several districts and is multi-agency in nature.
School Psychologist
1.0 FTE Position (two positions) for the 2016-17 school year for Meeker & Wright Special Education Cooperative (MAWSECO). This position is responsible for, but not limited to, assessing student needs and will consult to implement programs to meet the educational needs of students in accordance with due process, existing programs, rules and policies, along with consulting with staff in planning intervention strategies.
