School Psychologist
1.0 FTE Position (two positions) for the 2016-17 school year for Meeker & Wright Special Education Cooperative (MAWSECO). This position is responsible for, but not limited to, assessing student needs and will consult to implement programs to meet the educational needs of students in accordance with due process, existing programs, rules and policies, along with consulting with staff in planning intervention strategies.
Director of Special Education
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Directs the implementation of educational programs for students with disabilities across a four school district Special Education Cooperative, assuring that each student is provided a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment *Responds to issues related to parent(s) concerns with special education identification, services, or programming *Provides leadership for Minnesota Department of Education Monitoring and Compliance process. *Prepares and monitors the annual budget for the Special Education Cooperative *Oversees the implementation for the Third Party Billing process for each member district of the Special Education Cooperative *Recruits, hires, and supervises certified and non-certified special education staff *Provides support and guidance to the Assistant Director of Special Education and Special Education Coordinators to strengthen their leadership roles in providing guidance and support to staff, administrators, and parents. *Serves as an Ex-Official member for the Special Education Cooperative Governing Board
Behavior Anaylist
1.0 FTE Position, starting the 2016-17 school year Behavioral Analyst wanted to provide MAWSECO member districts and programs with staff development, interventions for students with social and emotional difficulties; consult with IEP teams regarding students with social and emotional difficulties, and developmental delays. Duties and Responsibilities: *Collaborates with MAWSECO Board Certified Behavior Analyst to develop standardized FBA packet to be used district-wide. *Consults with teachers, administrators, and parents to plan strategies to assist with behavior and learning difficulties to improve achievement and school engagement. *Observes students and classrooms and provides behavioral strategies and assessments as required. *Collaborates with community agencies, district counselors, nurses, social workers and evaluation specialists to obtain or provide services for students. *To provide training, professional development and oversight for department programs or research as deemed appropriate. *Teaches Paraprofessionals and other staff how to carry out strategies for students. *Performs other job-related duties as assigned The successful candidate should be capable of: *Conducting functional assessments in a variety of settings. *Develop behavioral plans and ABA programs to reduce problem behaviors and teach functional skills. *Supervise and train staff members and review performance. *Organize, analyze and report on and maintain data for all programming. *Conduct parent/teacher consultations regarding skill development and challenging behaviors. *Strong written and oral communication skills required to include presentations, trainings and building relations with key stakeholders.

Superintendent
After serving St. Michael-Albertville School District for six years, Superintendent Dr. Jim Behle is retiring June 30, 2016. Selecting a new superintendent is perhaps the single most important decision a school board will make. It has appointed a Superintendent Search Coordinating Committee (SSCC) to support the school board in hiring the next Superintendent. General Information The Board has approved the superintendent search calendar, job description, job posting and brochure and designated a Superintendent Search Coordinating Committee (SSCC) which includes: Board Member Peyerl; Human Resources Director Claseman; Superintendent Behle; Principal Driver; and Principal Brown. All School Board members will individually review each application. The Board will compile an initial list of potential candidates for the SSCC. The SSCC will notify candidates to complete an online profile and will conduct screening interviews of potential candidates. The School Board will then select candidates for the first round of interviews based upon applications, online profile and screening interviews. The board will designate a group of key stakeholders who would be present for interviews and provide feedback to the board. The board-designated key stakeholders would one member from the Principals, SEIU Support Staff, SEIU Custodial Maintenance, STMA Ed Minnesota (two members), Community Education, Coaches Association, Business Community Member and STMA parents (one PTO, one randomly selected at large).
