School Psychologist

Benton-Stearns Education District is located in Central MN and serves six member districts including: Foley, Holdingford, Kimball, ROCORI, Sauk Rapids-Rice and Sartell-St. Stephen.  The position exists to support schools in their effort to proactively intervene with students through a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and to conduct educational evaluations. School Psychologists support students’ learning, social development, and mental and behavioral health using problem solving, assessment, data-based decision-making, and the delivery of evidenced-based interventions.

Our school psychologists are an integral part of site level teams.  Ongoing collaboration with school staff, special education supervisors, and members of our school psychology team are a critical part of your role.

Food Service Supervisor

Rush City Schools is seeking an ideal candidate to fill the full-time position of Food Service Supervisor.  This candidate must have a School Nutrition Association (SNA) Level 3 Certification or at least three years of relevant school nutrition experience.  Bachelor or Associates degree in related field preferred.  Position is to start immediately.  Position responsibilities include management of the day-to-day operations of school food service for both the High School and Elementary School.  They are responsible for Food Service Program evaluation, planning, administration, implementation, and monitoring.  This individual also is a part of the High School food service team and responsible for food preparation, cleaning of kitchen areas, and equipment.

This is an 8-hour a day position with an early morning start time. Contract length is approximately 225 days. Salary range is $24-$28/hour based on experience. In addition to salary, compensation includes uniform allowance, paid holidays, medical insurance, 403(b) contribution and paid sick leave.

Occupational Therapist

The Benton-Stearns Education District is located in Central MN and serves six member districts including: Foley, Holdingford, ROCORI, Kimball, Sartell-St. Stephen and Sauk Rapids-Rice School Districts.

Occupational Therapists will:

-Collaborate with team members including parents, students, teachers, and other service providers

-Assist with evaluations and program development

-Provide training to students, parents, and other school staff

-Complete necessary documentation for both billing and educational purposes

-Assist with equipment modification and other assistive devices

Elementary Principal (8 hours per day; 260 days per year; starting July 1, 2022)

The Principal provides leadership and implements the policies of the School Board and School District Administration by directing the administration of all teaching and other school activities within the school to offer the best possible opportunities for the optimum educational and personal development of students.

Job Summary:

1.         Supervise and evaluates all professional staff according to established policy such as: assists professional staff in developing annual job target goals; provides concentrated observation and assistance annually for probationary staff and conducts periodic observation of tenure teachers; maintains observation and conference records and prepares written appraisal reports; and provides ongoing supervision and development of professional staff through regular contacts throughout the work setting. Provides advice and counsel, corrective intervention, and discipline as appropriate so that professional instruction delivered within the school is consistent with School District objectives.
2.         Continually evaluates existing building programs, practical and curriculum content; develops building evaluation methods to monitor existing programs; utilizes test results and evaluation results to make appropriate decisions about program needs; and provides leadership to staff in developing and implementing program needs and plans so that there is properly implemented curriculum which will facilitate optimum educational and personal development of students.
3.         Directs the administration of the total school building program including program planning, school scheduling, budgeting, inventory, student discipline, building maintenance, student registration, class scheduling, report generation, etc. and develops and implements appropriate policies and procedures in these areas. Develops faculty and staff leadership and administers in a manner that develops and maintains an effective school climate so that there are optimum school operations meeting the needs of students and staff consistent with School District objectives.
4.         Provides supervision over teachers, secretaries, and assistants, and work direction for custodians and food service personnel; develops and implements a supervision plan; evaluates performance of assigned personnel; and administers provisions of master contracts in order to maintain effective staff supervision and optimum employee relations.
5.         Establishes and maintains effective school public relations, i.e., parent-teacher organizations, community groups, agency relationships, etc. so that there is optimum work coordination and mutual cooperation between the school and community.
6.         Performs staff selection and orientation activities. Interviews, recommends, orients, and assigns staff personnel. Plans and conducts appropriate in-service training. Develops faculty and staff ability to self-initiate professional growth.
7.         Coordinates and facilitates school programs, policies, and procedures with other principals, School District staff, the Director of Educational Services, and Superintendent of Schools in such areas as building operation, curriculum development, program funding, and school activities and events.
8.         Other job duties as assigned.

Health Services – Education Manager

Summary/Objective
The Health Services Education Manager will work with member school districts to provide
support focused on school-based health programs for PK-12. The role will include facilitation of
nursing services, discerning needs of members, providing technical support and consultation,
training, and coordinating with district teams within the region. This is a full-time, grant funded
position.
The health services education manager will also work in collaboration with the Resource
Training & Solutions Health & Safety Team, Minnesota Department of Health, local public
health, and regional healthcare systems. The health services education manager must possess
technology skills that allow for adaptability in program and training settings: including
face-to-face, virtual, and hybrid.
