Speech Language Pathologist

Foley Public Schools is accepting applications for a speech-language pathologist at Foley Elementary School. We are looking for candidates that are licensed speech-language pathologists or working towards licensure. Special Education Teacher – Elementary

This position is to start the Fall of 2019.  The Special Education Teacher is responsible for creating a program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction for students with disabilities, such that the students benefit from the general education curriculum to the greatest extent possible.  Special Education Teachers provide instruction to assigned students implementing IEPs, and prepare academic materials for students following approved curricula.  Special education case management includes preparation of IEPs, reports, assessment, and leading IEP team meetings.  Experience with PBIS, and the willingness to be trained in co-teaching will be given preference.

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Special Education Coordinator representative as broad grouping of various positions responsible for providing leadership, coordination and facilitating special education services and programs with assigning member district(s) and or MAWSECO program(s).  Representative duties including monitoring and ensures compliance with special education due process procedures/laws/requirements and paperwork to staff or member district administrator(s), coordinates staff development, facilitates special education transportation, participates in IEP meetings, makes recommendations budgetary needs/requirements and staffing allocations/needs, serves as a resources and liaison between member district(s) or program(s) and MAWSECO, assists in the design and implementation of curriculum, instructional methodology, programming and facility needs.

Background Information:  MAWSECO is an agency of seven member school districts (Annandale, Dassel-Cokato, Delano, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Litchfield, Maple Lake and Rockford) that have joined together to provide services in the area of special education. The mission of the Cooperative is to provide quality special education leadership, services and support to its seven member school districts’ staff, students and families as well as other agencies/districts that purchase its services.  The MAWSECO central office is located in Howard Lake, MN which is west of the metro and south of St. Cloud.

Foley Public Schools is taking applications for a Special Education Teacher at the Intermediate School, effective for the 2019-2020 school year.

Special Education License required, DCD licensure preferred.

This candidate will work in a special education classroom with the current special education teacher to carry out student individual plans.

Salary and benefits will be in accordance with the Master Agreement between Foley Public Schools and Foley United Educators. The master agreement is available on the district website.

Career Coach-District Assessment Coordinator
