The Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking an Institution Educational Supervisor at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Red Wing. This position provides academic leadership, management, evaluation, and administration for the achievement of successful teaching and learning through faculty and support staff; participates in academic and other DOC statewide meetings; collaborates with department-wide education supervisors and the Central Office education administration to plan and develop new program initiatives as well as redesign existing course curriculum. This position also examines and implements policies and procedures to enhance effective and efficient administration. Essential job functions include the following: General: Ensure all District administrators have off-site access to all necessary network drives as well as ongoing office software, hardware and browser updates on individual work machines to ensure web-based (and other) systems consistently work properly. Working with all District departments in the use, and appropriateness of department support software systems. Work with district departments to minimize the amount of data needed to be entered and reduce redundancy in data processing. Facility: On-site meeting/presentation support for all staff or groups who book meeting rooms. Ascertaining technology needs at time room is reserved, follow-up with the reserving party and set-up the rooms prior to meetings/presentations. Staff the room during the meeting/presentation when necessary or requested. Technology Support: Technical support for Fee Pay at peak times for both transportation and food service. Technology trouble shooting for individual staff where requested. Curriculum and Instruction: Assist central office staff with the use of Google. Assist with the development of teacher renewal content in an effort to create a paperless system. Human Resources: Maintain HR sites (web content management); lead moving HR recording keeping and other processes to paperless-research and support hiring, changes in employment, personnel issues. Backup support for other staff regarding server related issues, including Versatrans RP, Versatrans Onscreen, IDM, Synergy, Onscreen, Student Plans, etc. Create and Manage web forms-Update and maintain the Transportation department webpage. Create and deploy a Versatrans configuration with separate “Future” and “Current” databases. Maintain a minimum of twice weekly restore of “Current” database.
