Position begins 2017/2018 school year. Educate, plan, teach, facilitate and evaluate students and children identified with special education needs according to local, state and federal regulations and guidelines. Responsibilities: Plan and implement individualized instruction designed to meet the educational needs of children on IEPs. Creates a learning environment conducive to the learning needs of children with disabilities. Encourages student success by collaborating with classroom teachers and assisting with accommodations and modifications when appropriate. Employs a variety of instructional techniques embedding technology when appropriate. Conducts and carries out educational assessments.
