POSITION SUMMARY: Assist the building principal in performing instructional leadership and management of the educational program to maximize student learning. Assist with managing, evaluating and supervising effective and clear procedures for the operation and functioning of the school consistent with the philosophy, mission, values, goals and strategic plan of the school district. This includes instructional programs, co-curricular activities, and student management systems to ensure a safe and orderly climate, building maintenance, program evaluation, personnel management, office operations and emergency procedures. PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Assist the principal in the overall operation of the school and serve as a building instructional leader. 2. Support a school culture focused on learning and continuous improvement. 3. Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and personal responsibility. 4. Assist with developing and administering annual master schedule for instructional programs, ensuring sequential learning experiences for all students. 5. Ensure c ompliance with all laws, school board policies and school district procedures. 10. Assist with supervising the instructional programs of the school on a regular basis to ensure the use of effective instructional strategies, content and materials consistent with research on learning, student growth and development. 11. Ensure a safe, orderly environment that encourages staff and students to take responsibility for behavior and creates high morale among staff and students. 12. Establish a professional rapport with students and staff. Display the highest ethical and professional behavior and standards when working with students, parents and school personnel.
