One (1.0 FTE) opening for Elementary Instructional Coach at Shakopee Public Schools. Teacher on Special Assignment. Provide direct coaching and professional development support for teachers and other specialists resulting in the continual growth and improvement of instructional/professional practices in the district. This position will be re-posted every three years and current coaches can reapply. Children’s Defense Fund Freedom Schools Servant Leader Intern Position Description College-age young people and recent college graduates play a key role in the Children’s Defense Fund Freedom Schools program as servant leader interns. CDF Freedom Schools servant leader interns are responsible for the front-line care and nurturing of the children. Using the Integrated Reading Curriculum, they serve as facilitators in the classroom and as leaders of parent workshops and community outreach activities. Seasonal Grounds Position, May 2016 through October 2016. 40 hours every 2 weeks with a rotating schedule: 1st week- Monday, Wednesday, Friday 2nd Week-Tuesday and Thursday Position hours 7:00 am to 3:30 pm but may vary depending on district needs. Mowing, trimming, landscaping, machine maintenance, and others duties as assigned by the grounds department.
Adaptive Soccer and Softball Coach
Adaptive Soccer and Softball Coach assignment begins March 14th and works 10-12 hours per week. Practice, prepare, coordinate and organize all aspects of assigned position and work with other coaches to coordinate the entire program. This is a co-op program with the Eastern Carver County Schools and Prior Lake. Individual must work in cooperation with staff from the other schools and work to recruit students within our own district.
Assistant Swim/Dive Coach (Diving Coach)
Description: Assistant Swim and Dive Coach (Diving Coach) for Shakopee High School. Position available for both girls and boys season. Assignment begins August 15, 2016 and works 10-12 hours per week. Job Summary: Coach will be responsible for assisting with practices, preparation, coordination and organization of all aspects of the Swim/Dive program and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. This position is available for both the Girls (fall) and Boys (winter) seasons and is responsible for the Divers in both programs.
Head Girls Swim/Dive Coach
Description: The Head Girls Swim and Dive coach will be in charge of and responsible for all aspects of the program. The coaches responsibilities will include overseeing the assistant coaches, recruiting participants, managing a very large roster, helping to coordinate transportation, working with the Activities Office on pre-season meetings, eligibility, equipment, and all other aspects of the program. The Shakopee Sabers program is a 7th-12th grade program with a 8 lane pool. Our pool is state of the art and a great place to practice and compete. Job Summary: The Head Coach will have the following responsibilities (but not limited to): Will assist with practices, preparation, coordination and organization of all aspects of the Girls Swim/Dive program Will work very closely with the Head Coach of the Boy’s Swim/Dive program. Overall program management, all in-season training, provide opportunities for out of season training, communicate with parents, administration and pool maintenance on a daily basis to make sure all are on the same page.
