Job summary: Assist the Security and Emergency Management (SEM) department with summer initiatives throughout the entire school district. Candidates must possess strong clerical skills and be a self-starter. In addition, candidates must have a positive attitude, be willing to work as part of a team, and be flexible with their daily assignments.

Responsibilities and tasks include: The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental job duties:

Sort, distribute,and display signage in all district classrooms
Measure windows in all district classrooms and document results
Print, sort, compile, and distribute binders
Sort and document department equipment
Print department materials
Minimum qualifications include:
Must be at least 16 years of age
Valid Minnesota Driver’s License and clean driving record
Be able to provide their own transportation to be used during the workday (IRS mileage reimbursement will be provided)
Must be able to read a road map and a building floor plan
Must be able to lift up 10 pounds repeatedly on a daily basis and up to 50 pounds on occasion
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
Communicating effectively in verbal and written formats
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Basic computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and email
Data entry and record keeping skills
Ability to collaborate effectively
Organizing and managing time effectively

Work schedule: 8 hs/day; 40hrs per week (7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday)

Job Type or FTE: Summer; Casual, (Approximately June 10, 2024 through August 30, 2024)

Salary Range: Starting rate of pay $17.62/hour

Responsibilities:
Perform general housekeeping tasks to include dust mopping classrooms and hallway floors, stripping and sealing resilient and hard surface floors, washing windows, walls, lockers. Vacumn all carpeted areas of the building with Back Pack, upright or space vacuums.
Set up and take down equipment, e.g., tables, chairs, band shell, etc.
Summer cleaning of school buildings.
Perform other duties as required or directed by appropriate supervisors.

Job summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning by performing tasks and duties associated with the maintenance and care of district facilities, equipment, and grounds.

Responsibilities and tasks include:

Performing general housekeeping tasks to include but not limited to dust mopping and wet mopping classrooms, restrooms and hallway floors, cleaning restrooms, stripping and sealing resilient and hard surface floors, washing windows, walls, lockers. Vacuum all carpeted areas of the building; Housekeeping tasks to be performed according to established district systems and cleaning standards;
Performing minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and non-potable water system plumbing repairs to include but not limited to cleaning equipment, ceilings and floor tile and carpet;
Securing the facility; arming and disarming the security system; and
Reporting vandalism or unauthorized individuals in buildings.
Maintaining building grounds including, but not limited to, watering, mowing, trimming, pruning shrubs, trees, weeding, removing paper and debris from school yard and along fence lines.
Performing snow removal and keeping sidewalks free of ice.
Taking charge of all aspects of the physical operation of the building for which they are responsible.
Maintaining and submitting all appropriate reports and logs in a timely manner.
Painting district facilities to include but not limited to gym lines, minor touch-up, etc.;
Maintenaning building equipment per department guidelines.
Setting up and taking down equipment including but not limited to tables, chairs, band shell, etc.
Responding to questions and providing excellent customer service to facility users.
Performing other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include:

EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent
MN Second Class C boiler license

Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

Caring for and repairing facilities and equipment.
Working with the principal and building staff.
Responding effectively to student, staff and community needs.
Providing excellent customer service.
Using problem solving techniques.
Demonstrating effective written and oral communication skills.
Maintaining accurate/current records.
Excellent organizational skills.
Helping, taking instructions, and exchanging information.
Computer skills, including proper use of email communication
Knowledge of all safety precautions applicable to trade.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and materials
Preferred qualifications include:

MN 2nd Class C boiler license

Job Summary: The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following essential duties:

Provide administrative support for the Director of Learning and Achievement.Maintain calendars, commitments, and email.
Organize, plan, and make all arrangements for a variety of meetings, events, conferences, appointments, training sessions, special meetings or other events.
Maintain and track work year calendars for department staff.
Organize, plan, and make all the arrangements for department interviews.
Proof, edit and assist in the revision of correspondence and documents.
Compile, research, or gather information and data requested.
Prepare correspondences, reports, graphs, presentation slides, binders, and other materials.
Assign and prioritize work activities and projects performed within the Department Learning and Achievement.
Create and maintain various databases, files, and records.
Interact with staff, scholars, and members of the community on behalf of the Department Learning and Achievement.
Act as a liaison between parents, students, community, and department staff.
Screen calls and walk-ins and handle a variety of questions, issues or concerns.
Determine when it is appropriate to address issues and questions and when issues should be submitted directly to the director.
Collaborate and support staff and programming assigned to the Department Learning and Achievement.Provide administrative support to department staff.
Assisting with the planning and coordination of departmental events.
Assist with purchasing, checking purchases and maintaining purchasing records.
Schedule meetings and reserve meeting rooms.
Coordinate the distribution of various types curriculum resources.
Submitting business forms, requisitions, orders, and school board approval forms.
Create and maintain various databases, files, and records.
Perform other comparable duties as assigned.Assist in various office projects and activities as directed or as part of ongoing duties.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in the area of administrative support experience that includes some experience in school district administrative support functions and responsibilities preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include:

High level of professional customer service and human relations skills in assisting, screening, handling and dealing with informational requests of diverse populations.
Performing work assignments requiring attention to detail, precision, and accuracy.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Proficiency in office equipment and standard productivity software (Word, Excel, Google, and Publisher).
Ability to adhere to district policies and Minnesota laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to record keeping, data processing, and data privacy.
