Director of Instructional Technology

Summary/Primary Objective of Position:
Provide visionary leadership in the integration of technology within the instructional program by designing, developing, implementing, supervising and coordinating programs to promote the use of technology to enhance learning in all content areas for students and teachers.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Provide leadership and be accountable for District-wide instructional technology projects and implementations related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
  2. Promote and coordinate professional learning experiences embedded in the regular school day, as well as before and after school, and during the summer. Be accountable for related professional learning district-wide.
  3. Direct and oversee, in collaboration with principals, teacher leaders who support instructional technology integration.
  4. Establish, communicate and align direction to District vision and goals and monitor both the district-wide and individual school building’s goals for the ongoing use of media and technology within the curriculum to enhance student achievement.
  5. Lead identification, integration, and evaluation of instructional technology tools and resources related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
  6. Ensure that the District Education Technology Standards and digital health and wellness plans are current and executed with students, teachers, and administrators by overseeing learning work, guidance, support and assessment.
  7. Serve as a member of the District’s administrative team and actively participate in the development, implementation, and achievement of District goals.
  8. Coordinate the operation of the Media Specialists, including establishing accountability, tech standards, alignment of instructional scope and sequence, and delivery and management of media services and media centers.
  9. Develop and complete mutual commitments tied directly to District goals
  10.  Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Spanish Teacher (Long-Term Substitute)

Job Functions

Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods.  Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
Deliver the district’s written, taught and assessed curriculum.
Maintain knowledge and skills with IB Program changes and updates.
Create a positive environment to ensure successful learning for all students.
Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children’s progress, and to determine priorities for their children’s social, emotional and academic growth.
Partner with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators in order to support students’ academic and social-emotional development.
Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
Adhere to all district policies and procedures.
Support the district’s mission, vision, values and strategic plan.
Guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic issues or special academic interests.
Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements of states and schools. Confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula.
Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students’ needs and progress.
Administer standardized, formative and state mandated assessments and interpret results to determine student strengths and areas of need.
Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence.
Understand and maintain boundaries and confidentiality with students, families and staff.
Cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, staff, families and community members.
Adhere to staff and program guidelines and district procedures and policies.
Demonstrate prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.

Director of Human Resources – Labor Relations

Job Summary:  Under the direction of the Executive Director of Human Resources, the Director of Labor Relations, Human Resources works in a shared leadership model with another Human Resources Director.  The Director of Labor Relations, Human Resources, is expected to provide broad program oversight and administration in assigned areas: development of personnel policies, benefits and compensation, procedures and strategic planning, collective bargaining, grievance administration, management support and assistance to district administrators in matters pertaining to personnel administration, compliance reporting, staff development, and employee relations or other human resource programs and initiatives as delegated by the Executive Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Labor Relations – Oversee the elements of formal labor-management relations including protected activities, unfair practices, union organizing, collective bargaining and contract administration.
  • Employee services – Direct, plan, and coordinate the operations of employee engagement, benefits and compensation.
  • Support hiring managers – Work with the Human Resources Leadership team to support hiring managers.
  • Strategic human resource leadership – Work with the Human Resource Leadership Team to manage human resources strategic planning to align with the district’s mission.
