The Manager, Community Education is a key leadership role within the department, responsible for the strategic and operational management of multiple programs. This position ensures programs are high-quality, accessible, and aligned with district goals while supporting staff development, student success, and family engagement.

Position Summary
The Manager, Community Education plans, develops, and evaluates Community Education programs in collaboration with staff and stakeholders. This role oversees program operations, staffing, and budget management while fostering innovation, quality improvement, and community partnerships. The Manager provides strategic and performance leadership, supervises program staff, and ensures compliance with all district policies and childcare regulations.

This position is ideal for someone with experience in community education, school-age care, or youth development programs, and a passion for leading teams, enhancing programs, and engaging diverse communities.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct Supervision:

Site Supervisors (3-4 positions)
Additional staff as assigned
Indirect Supervision:Educational Support Professionals (40-70 employees)
Instructors (Kidstop/Four Star Express, 10-20 employees)

The Manager provides guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations for direct reports and supports program staff in achieving operational and student success goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership (20%)Align Community Education programs with the district’s mission and core values.
Participate in district initiatives, committees, and task forces.
Develop and communicate a shared vision for assigned program areas.
Conduct program assessments, prepare reports, and implement improvements.
Develop training materials and supervise building supervisors.
Performance Leadership (25%)Build staff capacity and apply technical expertise to enhance program effectiveness.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff, including providing timely feedback.
Lead delegation of tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow.
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training staff, including summer and school year employees.
Provide on-call or on-site support for program staff as needed.
Management (20%)Administer/monitor program budgets, monitor staffing ratios, and ensure fiscal accountability.
Ensure compliance with district policies, state childcare regulations, and permitting systems.
Implement data management systems and oversee program reporting and documentation.
Interpersonal Skills (15%)Maintain visibility and accessibility within the organization and programs.
Communicate effectively with staff, families, and community partners.
Build relationships with diverse stakeholders and manage conflicts professionally.
Represent the district in community engagement, partnerships, and program initiatives.

Other Duties:Perform other duties as assigned that support the mission and operations of Community Education and District.
QualificationsEducation and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Community Education, Education, Youth Development, Early Childhood, Human Development, Adult Education, or a related field (required).
Minimum of 3 years of relevant programming experience.
0-1 year of supervisory experience.
Experience in public school and/or community-based programming is preferred.

Salary Range: $91,841 – $114,227 + benefits

Dean of Students

The successful candidate for the Dean position will provide leadership and build systems to support staff, schools, and the district in increasing appropriate instructional capacity that allows all students to meet or exceed expected growth each year, graduate from high school, and eliminate predictability in achievement through practices of educational equity.  This position will assist the Principal Team in leading the building’s efforts in creating a culturally competent and racially inclusive learning environment so that all students are successful.  The individual will also assist the leadership team in leading the design and implementation of the district’s instructional delivery and professional development in alignment with the district’s operational plan and individual school improvement plans.   • Reports to administrators, teachers, school attendance staff, parents, and students relative to issues affecting student performance.
  • Recommends appropriate programs for students to assist them with behavioral problems.
  • Instructs and advises students regarding their responsibility to adhere to school rules and policies, to foster a safe school environment, and to respect other individuals and property.
  • Assists in arranging for appropriate tutorial instruction related to assigned academic work.
  • Assists administrators, teachers, and school attendance staff in addressing student attendance problems.
  • Assists in the administration of the In-School Suspension Program.
  • Arranges meetings as directed with students, parents, teachers, and administrators regarding disciplinary problems in school.
  • Counsels individual students as needed and makes appropriate referrals for testing, guidance or other services.
  • Coordinates with community and government agencies relating to drug and alcohol abuse, truancy, and other conduct.
  • Assists in developing policies and practices to assure building security and safety.
  • Assists in the preparation of student expulsion hearings.

Educational Assistant – Level IV Special Education

This role is critical in building a welcoming and supportive culture from day one, acting as the primary point of contact for students, staff, families, and the wider community. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who can build administrative systems and procedures from the ground up, with a major emphasis on the organization and coordination of all internal clerical office functions.

Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support & Organization

Provide extensive secretarial and clerical support to the principal and school staff, including typing, filing, and duplicating materials.
Maintain a high level of organization for all general files to ensure easy and accessible access.
Direct substitute teachers to appropriate classrooms, provide them with schedules, and collect end-of-day reports.
Maintain records of staff absences and process all required personnel forms.
Respond to minor health concerns during the absence of the health specialist.
Assist in the office organization, including filing systems (digital and paper) and establishing communication systems.
Student & Family Support

Greet visitors and serve as a liaison between the principal, staff, students, parents, and the general public.
Enroll and withdraw students, maintain accurate and confidential student records, and request records for new students.
Organize and prepare scheduling materials for parent-teacher conferences and other events.
Provide community resource information to families as needed.
Assist with community liaison duties, helping families transition smoothly to the new school.
Communication & Community Building

Answer phones and direct calls, serving as the primary representative of the school.

Minimum Qualifications
Education

Extensive Experience: Proven record of successfully managing the administrative functions of an elementary school as a head secretary or administrative assistant.
Project Management & System Design: Demonstrated ability to manage complex, long-term projects and design and implement new administrative processes and procedures from scratch.
Technology Proficiency: Advanced skills in relevant software, including student information systems (e.g., Synergy), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Access), Google Suite, and various communication platforms.
Documentation & Record Keeping: Meticulous organizational skills with experience in creating and maintaining accurate records from the very beginning.

Early Childhood Family Services Supervisor
