Director of Instructional Technology

Summary/Primary Objective of Position:
Provide visionary leadership in the integration of technology within the instructional program by designing, developing, implementing, supervising and coordinating programs to promote the use of technology to enhance learning in all content areas for students and teachers.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and be accountable for District-wide instructional technology projects and implementations related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
  2. Promote and coordinate professional development activities within school buildings during the regular school day, including meeting and supervising TOSAs and supervising projects.
  3. Establish, communicate, align to District goals and monitor both the District-wide and individual school building’s vision and goals for the ongoing use of media and technology into the curriculum to enhance student achievement.
  4. Provide leadership and oversee staff training to improve student learning by the use of instruction technology into the curriculum.  Be accountable for technology staff development District-wide.
  5. Ensure that the District Education Technology Standards are updated and carried out for students, teachers, and administrators by overseeing training, guidance, support and assessment.
  6. Serve as a member of the District’s administrative team and actively participate in the development, implementation, and achievement of District goals.
  7. Coordinate the operation of the Media Specialists, including establishing accountability, tech standards, alignment of instructional scope and sequence, and delivery and management of media services and media center.
  8. Develop and complete mutual commitments tied directly to District goals.
  9. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Preschool Teacher

Job Summary
Provide a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate preschool experience for children. Guide children’s behavior in a consistent and positive manner.

Job Functions

Plan, implement, evaluate and coordinate curriculum and behavioral support with other staff.
Observe/monitor/assess/record each child’s development/behavior for reporting and progress monitoring.
Develop and maintain rapport with each child and provide positive behavior guidance to all children, plus provide for the health and safety of each child.
Provide a developmentally appropriate classroom – organized, safe and inclusive of learning centers.
Maintain and order supplies, equipment and materials as appropriate.
Plan and coordinate special events/celebrations of learning.
Develop and maintain communication with parents through daily greeting, parent info, conferences, progress reports, open houses, volunteering and events.
Provide support, direction, supervision and assistance to the assistant(s).
Respond appropriately to emergency or crisis situations.
Maintain appropriate records with the support of the assistant(s).
Maintain communication with all staff and participate as a team member.
Perform other general duties as assigned by your supervisor to accomplish the objectives of the Early Learning Program.
Participate in staff development training programs as assigned.
Attend staff, community education and district meetings as directed or necessary.
Demonstrate prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.

Behavior Paraprofessional – #4979 Spring Lake Park

We strongly prefer candidates who have exhibited excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm to work with students.  Preferred candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning as evidenced by graduate-level work or an earned degree, as well as participation in professional organization conferences or seminars related to the content area.
