Summary/Primary Objective of Position:
Provide visionary leadership in the integration of technology within the instructional program by designing, developing, implementing, supervising and coordinating programs to promote the use of technology to enhance learning in all content areas for students and teachers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and be accountable for District-wide instructional technology projects and implementations related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
- Promote and coordinate professional development activities within school buildings during the regular school day, including meeting and supervising TOSAs and supervising projects.
- Establish, communicate, align to District goals and monitor both the District-wide and individual school building’s vision and goals for the ongoing use of media and technology into the curriculum to enhance student achievement.
- Provide leadership and oversee staff training to improve student learning by the use of instruction technology into the curriculum. Be accountable for technology staff development District-wide.
- Ensure that the District Education Technology Standards are updated and carried out for students, teachers, and administrators by overseeing training, guidance, support and assessment.
- Serve as a member of the District’s administrative team and actively participate in the development, implementation, and achievement of District goals.
- Coordinate the operation of the Media Specialists, including establishing accountability, tech standards, alignment of instructional scope and sequence, and delivery and management of media services and media center.
- Develop and complete mutual commitments tied directly to District goals.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
