Position is full-time, part of the teacher bargaining unit and based at the Mahtomedi Middle School. Salary and benefits part of Master Agreement
· Identify the needs of students through formal and informal assessments
· Plan, develop and implement appropriate lessons to ensure the achievement of student growth
· Communicate with students, parents and staff on regular basis on student progress
· Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
· Update all necessary records accurately as required by laws, district policies and school regulations
· Attend department, school and parent meetings or functions

Job Functions
Supervise students in classrooms, lunchroom, playground, hallways or gym.
Supervise students participating in designated classroom activities as assigned.
Supervise students during breakfast or lunch periods.
Oversee breakfast or lunch clean up.
Clean and sanitize tables between lunch periods.
Inform maintenance of any spills that need to be taken care of in the lunchroom.
Ensure students line up and move about the lunchroom and hallways in an orderly and safe manner.
Communicate with students in a positive and supportive manner.
Assist with creating and maintaining a positive and safe environment for all students.
Manage student conflicts using established procedures and processes.
Intervene in inappropriate behavior and record major behavior issues on the office referral form.
Ensure students line up and move through school in an orderly and safe manner.
Be a positive example by modeling respectful behavior and using problem-solving strategies.

The hours for the positions available range from 4.0 hours to 5.75 hours per day; student-contact days only.
Job Summary:
Perform a variety of assigned tasks in the dish room, serving and cashiering under established rules, policies and procedures.
Job Functions
Assemble, prepare, and serve food items according to child nutrition guidelines, standardized recipes and directions from the Cook Manager.
Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots and pans, and other items in dish room using procedures established in HACCP plans.
Rotate working in serving area, cashiering, food prep and dish room as assigned.
Clean and handle food properly using procedures established in HACCP plans.
Monitor meal components and claim meals for reimbursement that adhere to federal guidelines and cashiering for ala carte.
Utilize safety measures as it pertains to use and operation of equipment in the kitchen including utensils, knives, and other equipment
Represent a positive public relations environment with customers
Attend education classes, training classes and or workshops as required
