Metro
Media Specialist 1.0 FTE
Create lessons and learning environments that are appropriate for all students with varying levels of skills.
Assess students’ developmental, cognitive and social needs and provide developmentally appropriate instruction to meet those needs.
Establish developmentally appropriate instructional and behavioral expectations for learners and share with students and families. Regularly assess student learning by using multiple forms of assessment.
Instruct students in information literacy: the location, evaluation, and proper use of information and reading materials; and in the proper use of media technology and software.
Explains and assists in the use of reference sources such as the internet, databases, library catalog, or book and periodical indexes to locate information.
Evaluates and recommends instructional resources for students.
Facilitates technology professional learning for teachers and assists teachers to use instructional technology effectively
Planning:
Collaborates with administrators, teachers and learners by recommending and planning for user needs in order to most effectively use media resources.
Collaborate with job-like peers to develop, plan and implement best practices based on the needs, abilities, and strength of learners.
Provides leadership to and assists teachers to integrate media, including print materials, the internet as well as other electronic information resources and technology into instructional assignments.
Initiates interaction with and collaborates with teachers on literacy instruction and promotion.
Management:
Compiles/maintains an inventory of library, reference, circulation and technology materials.
Makes budget/purchasing recommendations based on needs determined using standard professional book review sources, as well as receiving recommendations from teachers and students.
Monitors and makes recommendations to administration for media center purchases.
Purchases, processes, and organizes materials for circulation or for use in the mediacenter.
Plans, directs and/or carries out special projects involving library promotion and outreach activity.
Furnishes information to school staff, parents and students on media center activities, facilities, equipment, rules, and services

Position Purpose: The Executive Director of Human Resources, under the guidance of the Superintendent, works collaboratively with all key stakeholders to establish working conditions that promote a culture and climate to attract and retain a highly-skilled workforce.The Executive Director of Human Resources is responsible for providing leadership for all district Human Resource functions to ensure all actions play a strategic role in accomplishing the district mission, vision, and strategic directions. The Executive Director of Human Resources is responsible for essential department functions including recruitment, selection, and retention of high performing employees, contract negotiation, interpretation and management of employment contracts, performance management, employee relations, staffing, policy development, budget development, and compliance with all applicable state and federal laws. The Executive Director of Human Resources serves as a member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, Educational Leadership, Business Administration or other related fields
Five years of experience preferred in related field
Demonstrated experience with Human Resources Management, labor relations, and negotiations

Physical Education Teacher
Primary Function (Purpose of Position): A DeLaSalle High School Physical Education Teacher will inspire and educate students in physical fitness, health, and wellness, while integrating Catholic values and teaching into the curriculum. The PE Teacher will also promote a positive and inclusive environment that encourages students to develop lifelong healthy habits.

3. Classroom Management and Safety:
- Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of all students.
- Enforce school policies and procedures related to student conduct and safety in the gymnasium, locker rooms, and outdoor facilities.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and facilities, reporting any issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
4. Collaboration and Professional Development:
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student learning and development.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.

Qualifications:
- BA in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- Teaching certification.
