Job Description:

The CFE Coordinator will support the organization and execution of all CFE program responsibilities under the supervision and direction of the CFE Directors at the Lower, Middle and Upper Schools. They will play a vital role in developing and executing community formation experiences, and expanding vocational formation opportunities. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for serving others. The CFE Coordinator will work closely with the CFE Directors at each school, community partners, volunteers, and the Office of Faith Formation team broadly to ensure successful planning and execution of CFE events and initiatives. This position is part-time (20 hours per week).

 

Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Assist the CFE Directors in the planning, organization, and execution of local formation and service opportunities, e.g. 9th grade Community Formation in the fall, MS Core Community Formation in the fall, US Community Formation in the spring, and LS class engagement throughout the year.
    • Develop detailed plans, maintain timelines, and oversee logistics to ensure smooth operation of CORE experiences.
    • Create, communicate and execute transportation plans for CORE offsite experiences.
    • Collect, update and maintain student information and forms related to their formation experiences.
  • Assist in Community Partnership Development:
    • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with local churches, nonprofits, community organizations, and businesses to identify service opportunities and deepen collaboration potential.
    • Serve as a representative of Minnehaha Academy in these relationships, and as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to community formation events.
  • Vocational Formation Development:
    • Assist in the organization and management of educational opportunities and related activities related to vocational formation, in partnership with such parties as the Director of Community Engagement and Alumni, and the Counseling Offices at the Middle and Upper School.
    • Assist in coordinating and scheduling career-related programming, such as guest speaker sessions, career days, and off-campus visits (e.g. Junior Achievement).
    • Gather and prepare materials and resources for vocational formation sessions, speakers, roundtables, career day and other activities.
    • Maintain accurate records of student participation, program outcomes, and career-related activities.
  • Program Improvement & Data Tracking:
    • Help collect and track feedback from participants, volunteers and community partners to continuously improve CFE opportunities.
    • Stay informed on best practices in community service and volunteer management to enhance program effectiveness.
    • Record and track participation, event outcomes, and community impact in order to provide updates for parents, donors and community partners.
    • Partner with the Marketing and Development teams at Minnehaha as requested.
    • Help to generate updates on the CORE program for the MA community and beyond.

Minnehaha Academy’s Admission Office is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Admissions Counselor to join our team. This role will focus primarily on shepherding prospective students and their families through the admissions process while also engaging in any other duties as assigned to enhance our admissions efforts. This is a .5 FTE non-exempt position and reports to the Director of Admission and Enrollment. The scheduled hours of this position are primarily during the school day with occasional evening and weekend commitments.

 

Admission Counselor Overview

Serves prospective guardians and students, offering exceptional and holistic guidance and customized support throughout the admission process. Coordinates tours and student visits and oversees testing. Attends some recruitment events. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Health Services Coordinator

The Health Services Coordinator for South Washington County Schools provides leadership and coordination of health care for students who attend both private and public school within the district boundaries.  Provide leadership as the certified public and school health nurse, leading, collaborating, integrating, facilitating and evaluating school health services and programs to provide positive learning outcomes to preschool, school age, and youth through health promotion, disease prevention and health maintenance. To develop and sustain the liaison between the schools, home, and local, state and national health community. Primary responsibilities include training, delegation, monitoring and supervising health care procedures delivered by building nurses. This coordinator is a member of the special services administrative team.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Coordinate School District Building Nurses, Health Assistants, Paraprofessionals, Clerical Staff, Family School Coordinators

  • Analyze workflow related to effectiveness and efficiency of assessment processes in the school health services program.
  • Coordinates and provides leadership over the operations and health services staff.
  • Coordinates and provides leadership over the operations and health services for Community Education and Out of School Time Services.
  • Recruit, interview and make hiring recommendations for school health services personnel.
  • Direct, monitor school health services staff including development and evaluation of staff improvement plans.
  • Advise and make recommendations to the Director of Special Services regarding Minnesota Nurse Practice Act.
  • Arrange for substitutes. Maintains and manages a substitute nurse pool.

Organize and Conduct Professional Development

  • Development and training of staff that provide health services, physical & mental health, and other staff that contribute to a student’s overall health status.
  • Development and delivery of orientation for new and substitute Health Services staff.
  • Develop and coordinate quality improvement activities.

Health Policy and Procedure Development, Implementation, and Evaluation

  • Assessment, planning and evaluation of the health services component of the coordinated school health program.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate school health services policies and procedures to support student learning & delivery of care to students and the practice of nursing.
  • Assure policies and procedures adhere to state and federal legal and regulatory requirements, and ethical standards of nursing practice.
  • Implementation of communicable disease control in the schools, including monitoring, surveillance and participation in disease prevention and outbreak management.

Provide Consultative Service

  • Provide health related consultation as a member of the specialized education team.
  • Provide consultation and recommendations in the planning and development of accommodation plans for Section 504 eligible students.
  • Serve as health care consultant for school personnel, students and their parents/families.
  • Provide professional health care leadership to administrators and school staff.
  • Interpret health mandates, recommendations and trends to school personnel.
  • Consult and provide input into committees that share responsibility for wellness and health, i.e. health & safety committee, emergency preparedness committee, employee wellness committee, etc.

Community/Agency Liaison

  • Function as the liaison between the school and local health service agencies/providers.
  • Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with community health partners.
  • Serves on community leadership committees with Washington County as needed.

Health Counseling, Intervention, and Prevention

  • Coordinate the establishment of guidelines, procedures and training in First Aid/CPR for schools and staff.
  • Coordinate and monitor AED programs in the schools
  • Coordinate screening programs and immunization review/follow up for the schools.
  • Coordinate the establishment of guidelines, procedures, and training of blood borne pathogen/Hepatitis B vaccination/Post-Exposure Plan.
  • Coordinate district annual flu vaccination clinic for district staff and their families.

Budget Development and Maintenance

  • Recommends and manages the health services budget. Orders and purchases district health service supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor equipment needed and budget requests from individual buildings, including capital expense.
  • Develop and maintain vendor agreements for supplies and services.

Provide Coordination of Health Data/Technology Support

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the system for the identification of students with special health care needs.
  • Establishes and monitors pupil health record systems.

Emergency Preparedness

  • Serves as a member of the district emergency management leadership team.
  • Provides recommendations on planning and development of crisis team agendas.
  • Assures policies and procedures for school safety planning.

Specialized Education Third Party Reimbursement

  • Coordinate third party reimbursement for health and mental health related services for all students.
  • Reviews state and federal regulations for third party reimbursement.
  • Participates in third party reimbursement networking meetings with area districts.
  • Assists with the implementation of time studies for SEDRA reporting.
  • Interprets Department of Human Services (DHS) guidelines for school based Personal Care Assistants (PCAs).
  • Oversees training and certification of PCAs.

Other duties as assigned

The Perpich Center for Arts Education (PCAE) was created by statute in 1985. A 30-acre campus in Golden Valley houses the Center’s three main components: The Professional Development and Research Group (PDR), the Arts High School (AHS), and the PCAE Library. Job Summary

The PCAE Board of Directors is seeking an Interim Director to lead the Perpich Center from on or about November 22, 2024, to on or about July 1, 2025. The ending date will depend on the final retention of a permanent Executive Director. The final Executive Director description will be posted in January or February 2025 for that person to start in the 2025-2026 academic school year, or sooner if desired. The Executive Director, working with the Board of Directors, management team, and staff, provides leadership and direction in matters of policy, personnel, budgeting, growth, and change for the agency.
