Associate Director of Technology

Summary:
The Associate Director of Technology will play a key role in advancing the school district’s technology initiatives, assisting in managing the day-to-day operations of the technology department, and ensuring the seamless integration of technology into the educational experience. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance and Technology and collaborates with various stakeholders, including administrators, teachers, and IT staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee the ongoing planning processes for technology uses in the district, including, data, video, voice and physical security systems
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the school district’s network infrastructure.
Develop and execute a comprehensive network strategy aligned with the district’s goals.
Ensure the security and integrity of the network through regular monitoring, maintenance, and updates.
Troubleshoot network issues and coordinate with vendors for resolution when necessary.
Manage the procurement, deployment, and maintenance of hardware and software assets.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies that align with the district’s educational objectives.
Ensure that all hardware and software installations comply with relevant licensing and security standards.
Implement and enforce data security measures to protect sensitive information.
Stay informed about the latest trends and threats in cybersecurity, implementing measures to mitigate risks.
Work closely with the others to ensure adherence to data privacy regulations.
Collaborate with the Director of Technology in the development and management of the technology budget.
Monitor expenditures, negotiate contracts, and seek cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Serve as district authority for Federal E-rate application filing and responder for SLD inquiries
Educate district staff regarding policies related to copyright, network security, data privacy to help ensure that they are successfully followed
Assist Director with the annual planning, procurement, installation, updating, and disposal of technology related equipment
Other related duties as assigned.

Health Care/Health Resource Center Coordinator

Buildings and Grounds Assistant Director of Operations

Assist in the coordination of Buildings and Grounds projects and services for the Anoka-Hennepin School District with a focus on safe and welcoming schools, resource allocation prioritization, custodial staffing, and coordinating cleaning and maintenance of district buildings.  Assist the maintenance and prioritization of the Facilities Condition Index, allocation of FCI area responsibilities and Long-Term Facilities Maintenance (LTFM) implementation, budget preparation and monitoring, staff supervision, program evaluation and reporting, and interface of programs with other District programming.

Duties:Assist the Director with planning, implementation, and management of programs, staff and activities including the district-wide Facilities Condition Index; the Long-Term Facilities Maintenance plan, budget, and reporting; custodial oversight at all Anoka-Hennepin facilities.
Assist with the oversight to ensure compliance with the Minnesota Department of Education’s LTFM planning and budgeting guidelines.
Act as liaison between the District and schools regarding custodial responsibilities and disinfecting, sanitizing and cleaning protocols.
Make recommendations to the Director concerning staff allocation resource planning for capital projects.
Conduct performance appraisals, in compliance with State law and School Board Policy, for all staff who report directly to this position.
Work cooperatively with school administrators and provide leadership for staff in determining school and district building operation needs.
Facilitate and/or participate in district committees representing district operations and custodial services and service delivery models.
Assist the director in analyzing, interpreting, tracking, reviewing, reporting, and managing data surrounding capital projects, capital budgets, LTFM budgets, and resource allocations.
Assume general responsibility and supervision of all custodial personnel and services of the District.
Assist in the recruiting, screening, and assignment of custodial personnel throughout the District.
Develop and implement staff development programs appropriate to the needs of custodial personnel.
Supervise and appraise the performance of custodial personnel. Recommend the termination of personnel whose performance is deemed unsatisfactory in accordance with procedures of due process.
Communicate to the Buildings & Grounds Director the requirements and needs for District operations.
Prepare and monitors a program budget for custodial operational services in the District in coordination with the Buildings & Grounds Director.
Assists in securing quotations and preparing bid specifications and purchasing of supplies and equipment for the operation of buildings.
Maintain current time records and prepare and submit to the payroll office information necessary for the compensation of custodial personnel.
Determine the need and secures supplies and materials necessary for custodial services.
Develop, with the assistance of principals and head custodians, equitable and practical work schedules to ensure proper custodial services and operational functions.
Execute assigned administrative responsibilities to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws in accordance with Anoka-Hennepin School District policies and guidelines pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action.
Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as Director may assign.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages 40 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 130 employees in the Buildings & Grounds.  Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.  Also directly supervises non-supervisory employees.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the District’s policies and applicable law.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Minimum Qualifications:  Requires Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

American Indian Education Advisor

Indian Education Advisors provide support for American Indian students in Anoka-Hennepin, grades K-12.

Locations:  There are two available postings. One serves Kindergarten- 5th grade students and the other serves 6-12th grade students.

Duties:  Attendance at site level meetings (as required).  Attendance and participation at district level meetings.  Attendance and participation in staff development and/or trainings.  Participation in Individual Education Plan (IEP), 504, and Pre-referral Intervention meetings (as needed).  Plan and participate in American Indian Education academic and cultural activities such as, but not limited to:  Field Trips, College Visits, Seasonal Community Events, Trimester Celebrations, Senior Honoring and other Family Engagement Events/Classes.  Collaboration with AH CRT District Support Team and (new roles).  Meet with site level administrative team and/or principal and/or principal’s designee (as needed).  Monitor specific data surrounding site and district School Improvement Planning (SIP) Goals as related to American Indian students.  Act as a liaison for American Indian students and/or families between school and home.  Facilitate and assist individual students and/or small groups with academic and cultural support.  Refer students and families to appropriate school personnel for further services and support beyond scope of the role of Indian Education Advisor.  Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:  High School Diploma or equivalent.  Minimum of two years post-secondary education in related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Good written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to work closely with parents, staff, administration and community.  Knowledge of American Indian culture and language.  Must have reliable transportation.  Ability to maintain regular attendance, including completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.  Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.  Must be physically working in the building/on site.

Salary: $47,143, and up DOQ;
Salary with BA: $48,190, and up DOQ;
Salary with MA: $49,238, and up DOQ
