Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Student Attendance, Contracts, & Truancy
- Interpret attendance data and assist students in addressing challenges associated with attendance.
- Oversee record keeping and communications associated with the student attendance contracts, school’s attendance policies, and procedures for students.
- Coordinate all truancy procedures based on the requirements of a student’s county of residence.
- Consult and collaborate effectively with families, teachers, administrators, and other educational and community resources to address student issues and needs.
Student Behavior
- Assist students in identifying proper decorum for a school setting.
- Implement positive behavioral interventions and strategies to assist students in meeting behavior expectations and resolving conflicts.
- Implement school policies and procedures regarding student decorum to maintain a positive, productive, and safe environment.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant communication and documentation of work with students and does so in a timely manner.
- Participate in school based multidisciplinary team meetings and events that support student achievement and identify individual student intervention needs (Examples include Child Study, 504, and Attendance).
- Accurately and appropriately utilize and interpret student data, as well as assist others to do so.
Student Safety
- Coordinate all school emergency drills.
