The McGregor Public School’s main office is located in McGregor, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 400 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.

LEADERSHIP PROFILE: The McGregor School Board seeks a superintendent with strong leadership skills who:

  • Exhibits integrity and upholds the highest ethical standards in all dealings with the school board, staff, students, and community
  • Ensures a consistent presence and remains readily approachable across all areas of the district, ensuring an environment of open communication and accessibility
  • Is a strong communicator with a proven ability to foster positive human relations and effectively convey information, adept at building and maintaining productive relationships
  • Works in close collaboration with the School Board, presenting a variety of options and well-considered recommendations

SALARY/CONTRACT:  A competitive compensation and benefits package for a full time equivalent with a starting salary range of $125,000- $140,000 will be pro-rated for part-time and negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute.  Additional benefits available may include health insurance, vacation days, 403 B, holidays, sick leave, among other benefits.

Media Specialist

Use your skills to manage the media center in the elementary (.80 FTE) and high school (.20 FTE) buildings. Provide accessible tools and resources for students to enhance and support the learning process, as well as guidance in reading, resource availability and information-seeking techniques. Some teaching time with elementary students likely. Also help assist technology coordinator with basic student/teacher technology needs.

Superintendent of one school for PreK-12th Grade serving approximately 600 students. We provide our students “Excellence for Life” with a strong focus on academics, arts and athletics. Moose Lake is located approximately 40 miles south of Duluth on Interstate 35.

SALARY/BENEFITS:
A competitive compensation package will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Compensation for this position in fiscal year 24 was $120,028.  The contract length is negotiable as provided in the Minnesota statute.

Substitute Teacher/Substitute Paraprofessional

Substitute Teacher Responsibilities:

Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies. This includes:
Leading instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher’s existing lesson plans
Teaching students on a variety of classroom topics/courses
Building positive relationships
Assigning reasonable tasks and homework
Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation
Create a classroom environment that’s conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
Adapt to the various learning styles of students
For long-term assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as create, administer, and grade tests and assignments
Substitute Paraprofessional Responsibilities:

Provide classroom assistance to the district/school teacher and support to the general education or special needs students.
Ensure adequate supervision of students and classroom environment to assure health, welfare, and safety of students.
Assist students in transition to and from classrooms, as needed
Understand, address, and be attuned to the needs of each student, recognizing differences in their abilities and cognitive levels

Minimum requirements: HS Dipolima, or Pass the ParaPro Exam for some districts.
Substitute Teacher –  Bachelor’s degree with MN Teaching or Substitute License (which you can get with any 4 year degree).
Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language fluently and effectively
No experience necessary; we provide training! Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.

Job Description:

Sharing time between the high school and elementary school, provide expertise and oversight for the provision of school health services and promotion of health education. Using clinical knowledge and judgment, provide health care to students and staff, perform health screenings and coordinate referrals to the medical home or private healthcare provider. Serve as a liaison between school personnel, family, community and healthcare providers to advocate for health care and a healthy school environment. Responsible for overseeing school health policies and programs.
