Job Description:

Sharing time between the high school and elementary school, provide expertise and oversight for the provision of school health services and promotion of health education. Using clinical knowledge and judgment, provide health care to students and staff, perform health screenings and coordinate referrals to the medical home or private healthcare provider. Serve as a liaison between school personnel, family, community and healthcare providers to advocate for health care and a healthy school environment. Oversee 504, IEP and special services for students Work with early childhood leadership to support early childhood programs and coordinate PreK-3 alignment
Oversee student referrals for extended year programs (afterschool and summer school)
Oversee use of facility
Oversee kindergarten roundup for incoming students
Oversee student discipline, behavior and attendance. Communicate with county services as needed (i.e. educational neglect).
Perform other related duties as assigned by district administration.

The Hill City School District’s main office is located in Hill City, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 270 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.

Previous superintendent experience preferred, but not required.

SALARY/CONTRACT:  A competitive compensation and benefits package will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. The contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute.
