The Clearbrook-Gonvick School District is hiring for a Superintendent of Schools.  Our District is located in Northwestern Minnesota about forty five minutes northwest of Bemidji. The area is well known for its outdoor opportunities and strong communities.  The Clearbrook-Gonvick School and main offices are located in the town Clearbrook, Minnesota.  The school district consists of 481 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Executive Director

The Director, who serves as the lead administrator of the school is hired by and reports directly to the School Board.  The position requires general and specific responsibilities as stated by the Minnesota Board of Education, Charter Schools, Voyageurs Expeditionary School Board, the Voyageurs Expeditionary School’s Policy and Procedures and the authorizer, Osprey Wilds. The Director additionally ensures that the school provides a safe, supportive environment which emphasizes the skills necessary to prepare students for success.

Minimum qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, demonstrated leadership skills, strong public speaking skills, ability to write clearly and strong facilitation skills.  Experience in management.   Demonstrated knowledge of finance and budgeting.  Experience and/or familiarity in grant writing.

School Psychologist/Intern (one year position)

The BRIC Special Education Services Cooperative maintains four full-time School Psychologists. The
School Psychologists provide direct and indirect support services pre-k through grade 12 including
working with students at risk and students with special needs including assessment, consultation and
collaboration with teachers, parents, guardians and support agencies.

The Tri-County Schools’ main office is located in Karlstad, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 218 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.

  • Is a “people person” with proven abilities in human relations and communications

  • Is visible and accessible to the School Board, staff, students, parents, and community

Previous superintendent experience preferred but not required.

SALARY/CONTRACT: A comprehensive compensation package will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. The contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute.
