Superintendent – Roseau Community Schools

The Roseau Public School – ISD 682 School Board is seeking qualified applicants for the position of superintendent. The search is due to the retirement of Dr. Larry Guggisberg, who has served as superintendent for 18 years.

About the Community:

Roseau is a successful community located in northwest Minnesota with a population of nearly 2,800 people. Roseau is the home of Polaris Industries — a Fortune 500 company with nearly 1,400 employees — that designs and manufactures snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles for a worldwide market.

LifeCare Medical Center and the Altru Medical Clinic in Roseau provide high-quality medical services to Roseau County and the surrounding area.

Many outdoor recreational activities are available to Roseau residents. Outdoor Life Magazine ranked Roseau as the 20th best town in the United States for sportsmen.

Roseau is located two hours from Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Winnipeg, Manitoba.

About the School District:

Roseau Public School – ISD 682 campus is located in the City of Roseau. The roughly 714-square miles has a student enrollment of 1,249 prekindergarten through 12th-grade students from the communities of Roseau, Malung, Wannaska, Ross, and Salol.

Roseau Elementary School serves 726 pre-kindergarten through grade 6 students, and Roseau High School serves 528 students in grades 7 through 12.

The school district employs 81 licensed staff, 75 nonlicensed staff, one assistant principal/community education director, one full-time high school principal/athletic director, one full-time elementary principal, and one full-time special education director/district assessment coordinator. The school district’s central office includes a full-time superintendent and two full-time bookkeepers. The school district operates its own transportation and food service programs.

School Psychologist, Full-Time – Bemidji Regional Interdistrict Council

The Bemidji Regional Interdistrict Council (BRIC), a large special education services cooperative serving 11 member Districts in North Central Minnesota anticipates the need for a full-time School Psychologist for the 2018-2019 school year.  This is a full-time, permanent position.  The BRIC is a well established and highly regarded special education services cooperative serving multiple Districts in North Central and Northwestern Minnesota for over 40 years.   Administrative offices are located in Bemidji, Minnesota.  The BRIC offers a competitive compensation package, effective supervision, consultation, in-service training opportunities, and technology supports.  Starting salary for the current 182-day contract is $57,153.00 with a range depending on experience to $75,278.00.

The BRIC Special Education Services Cooperative maintains four full-time School Psychologists. The School Psychologists provide direct and indirect support services pre-k through grade 12 including working with students at risk and students with special needs including assessment, consultation, and collaboration with teachers, parents, guardians, support agencies and providing in-service training on a variety of educational issues.   The BRIC School Psychologists typically travel out to assigned Districts Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week.  Wednesdays reserved for in office work at the Cooperative’s Administrative Offices located in Bemidji.

Must be eligible for licensure in Minnesota by the Minnesota Board of Teaching.   The School Psychologist reports directly to the Executive Director.

MUSIC TEACHER – LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE

Superintendent of Schools. The school district is seeking a full-time superintendent effective July 1, 2019.

District
The Bagley schools are located in northwest Minnesota one-half hour west of Bemidji, five hours northwest of Minneapolis-St Paul, & two hours from Fargo-Moorhead.

The district currently has an enrollment of just under 1,000 students, and an annual revenue of just over $14,000,000.00 ($14M).  The School District has implemented 1-to-1 devices for all students.  Teachers have SMART Boards, Laptops, and Computer Labs for STEM classes.  The district has a full pre-engineering track using Project Lead the Way courses, many of which are articulated for college credit.  The program track also includes School to work, and on the job apprenticeship programs.  We have a Vex Robotics Team, and a First Robotics Team, in addition to a well-developed Media Crew of students that produces television broadcasts on a local cable TV station for many home sports events and school activities. Our drama and theater club stages many one act plays, musicals, and three act plays. We have a well-developed k-4 music program and 7-12 band and choir programs.
