The K-5 Special Education Teacher will serve as a student-centered educator who is a learner and warm demander for all learners.  Teacher will establish collaborative & impactful relationships with colleagues, families, and students.  Teacher will understand and model best instructional practices, serve as a member of a Professional Learning Community, and ensure high levels of student learning.  Candidate must have a learner, inclusionary, and equity-focused mindset and see that their presence has an impact with students and our school environment.  Position is a balance of co-teaching and pull-out services, all based on student needs and IEP goals.

Substitute Teacher or Substitute Paraprofessional

Teachers On Call, a Kelly Education Company, is hiring immediately for both substitute teachers and paraprofessionals for districts across the Southeast region of MN for the 2024-2025 school year.

*Pay Range varies district to district for Teacher and Para rates. Teacher rates are paid Full Day/Half Day scale and all other support roles are paid on an hourly scale.*

Substitute Teacher Responsibilities:

Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies. This includes:

·         Leading instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher’s existing lesson plans

·         Teaching students on a variety of classroom topics/courses

·         Building positive relationships

·         Assigning reasonable tasks and homework

·         Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation

·         Create a classroom environment that’s conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students

·         Adapt to the various learning styles of students

·         For long-term assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as create, administer, and grade tests and assignments

 

Substitute Paraprofessional Responsibilities:

·         Provide classroom assistance to the district/school teacher and support to the general education or special needs students.

·         Ensure adequate supervision of students and classroom environment to assure health, welfare, and safety of students.

·         Assist students in transition to and from classrooms, as needed

·         Understand, address, and be attuned to the needs of each student, recognizing differences in their abilities and cognitive levels

 

Minimum requirements:

·         Paraprofessional/Support Roles – HS Diploma/GED

·         Substitute Teacher – Bachelor’s degree with MN Teaching or Substitute License (can be acquired with ANY bachelor’s degree)

·         Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language fluently and effectively

·         No experience necessary; we provide training! Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.

·         Don’t have license but want to teach? No problem! We will guide you through the licensing process.

Developmental/Adapted Physical Education Teacher 1.0 FTE

Job Description:  A full-time (1.0 FTE) Developmental/Adapted Physical Education Teacher at Faribault Public Schools.  This position serves elementary and middle school aged students.  This position commences with the 2024-25 school year on approximately August 19, 24

Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities. High School Special Education Teacher

Under the direction of the Building Principal and Director of Special Education, the Licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; Evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives; follows State mandated due process procedures and functions as IEP Manager to assigned students.
