EL TEACHER 1.0 FTE – JEFFERSON ELEMENTARY

1.0 FTE EL Teacher – We are looking for someone to work as part of our elementary EL team to provide differentiated support for our diverse group of English Learners and perform the possible duties outlined below.

Job Duties:Provide EL instruction in alignment to the domains of Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening at Jefferson Elementary School
Staff will work with grade level teachers in a co-teaching setting
For intermediate students, staff will utilize grade level curriculum aligned with the classroom
Staff will provide language intervention in small groups to EL level 1, 2, and 3’s
Manage the EL student caseload

Social Studies Teacher

Full-time (1.0 FTE)  Social Studies Teacher at Faribault High School.  This position will commence with the 2018-2019 school year.  Position may include teaching within the 9th Grade Freshman Academy.  Must be willing to attend AP and AVID training.

The school district currently serves approximately 3,700 students in Faribault and our surrounding areas within our community of 23,000 citizens within the city limits. World Language and Cultures Teacher

Job Description:  Full-Time (1.0 FTE) World  Language and Cultures Teacher, multi­ language preferred, all languages will be considered  – Middle School (grades 6-8).  Faribault Middle School is in the process of revamping our middle school course offerings and World Language and Cultures class as an elective for students. We are seeking an energetic, engaging, well-rounded individual who would be willing to speak or learn the basics of Spanish, Somali, and other languages. A Social Studies or EL background would also be preferred as students are expected to learn the basics about the cultural aspects of many regions of the world.

Associate Principal, Elementary School

The position of Associate Principal is an entry level, training based position.  An individual must have a current principal license to be eligible for the position.  These positions are intended to provide experience and mentoring to individuals aspiring to be assistant principals and principals in the district.

Job Summary:

  • Directs and manages matters relating to student discipline and behavior.  Supervises the accounting, reporting, and monitoring of student attendance.
  • Coordinates and supervises student use of cafeteria, lockers, lavatories, bus transportation, and related issues.
  • Coordinates parent conferences relating to discipline and attendance.  Supervises school-related evening activities as assigned by the building principal.
  • Attends special education staffing meetings when appropriate.
  • Serves with parents, faculty and student groups in advancing educational and related activities and objectives.
  • Provides supervision to paraprofessionals responsible for building/campus supervision.
  • Performs other tasks and assumes responsibilities as assigned by the building principal/assistant principal.
