The ECSE Birth-3 Teacher provides services to children in HVED member school districts. Service location will be in the home or alternative site with child and family. Travel is required.

Secondary Special Education Teacher
Two Full-time Middle School/High School Special Education Teacher for the Setting IV behavior programs. One position available at our SAIL (Students Achieve Integrative Learning) behavior program located in Kellogg, MN. One position available at our WIN (What I Need) behavior program located in Caledonia, MN.
School Psychologist
Full-time School Psychologist serving one or more school districts within the Education District. Travel between member districts is required.
Speech Language Pathologist
Full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for ages Birth to 21. This position serves multiple school districts within the Education District. Travel is required. Service location will be at schools, homes, and HVED programs.
Special Education Supervisor
The Special Education Supervisor will manage staff and programming. The Supervisor accomplishes this by working with the Director of Special Education to develop and conduct training, facilitate IEP meetings and establish data collection systems. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all Minnesota Department of Education rules and statutes, supervising and developing a highly qualified staff, managing budget, ensuring curriculum quality and continuous improvement, communicating with the school district, attending staff meetings along with Austin Public Schools leadership team to address educational issues, serving as an education liaison with internal departments and external agencies, providing crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when appropriate, and ensuring all staff maintain appropriate boundaries and relationships.
Special Education Teacher
Teach and case manage students receiving special education services at New Dominion School (NDS). NDS is a contracted non-public school operating in conjunction with Gerard Academy, a residential treatment facility for children and adolescents. Responsibilities include creating a positive and supportive classroom climate, engaging in a variety of instructional techniques and behavior management strategies that insure effective implementation of student IEP’s, assess educational and treatment needs of the students, provide instruction on assigned subject areas, and provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed.
