JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a licensed teaching position that works directly with students. This teacher is responsible for all planning, assessment and instruction, and differentiation of the curriculum as needed while providing positive and consistent curriculum classroom management and behavioral intervention and support. Ability to work in a team oriented environment is a must, as is the ability to be flexible while maintaining priorities. Additional collaborative work may regularly take place with parents, coworkers and administrators to ensure the high academic performance and achievement of these students.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Collaborate with school personnel, parents and various community agencies for the purpose of improving the quality of student outcomes, developing solutions and planning curriculum.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
• Promote equity and appreciation of diversity
• Maintain classroom management and consistently implement the program’s level system.
• Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement
• Plan and deliver effective instruction according to MN state standards.
• Address the human growth and development, physical, emotional/mental, social, intellectual, and moral issues
• Develop creative weekly lesson plans that meet needs of student learners.
• Deliver instruction utilizing appropriate resources, equipment, materials, technology and instructional strategies.

Job Description: A 1.0 FTE Early Childhood teacher position for Falcon’s Nest Preschool, a Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten site at Roosevelt Elementary School. Qualified candidates will offer a developmentally appropriate learning environment, with the focus on cognitive, social/emotional, language, literacy, and physical/motor development of students. This teacher will also work with a classroom paraprofessional to create a warm welcoming environment for parents and children. The position is 5 days a week from 7:30AM-3:30PM. This position commences with the 2023-24 school year immediately upon hire. Falcon’s Nest Preschool is a part of the Minnesota Centers of Excellence Pyramid Model Innovation Grant. Applicants with knowledge and experience in a multi-tiered system of support for young learners are preferred.

Job Description:
Faribault Public Schools is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time Area Learning Center Coordinator. The successful candidate for this position will perform professional work overseeing the staff and operations of Secondary (7-12) Alternate Education and Families in Transition (FIT) programs. In addition this position will also serve as a counselor in the building in cooperation with the building social worker. This position offers a 230 day per year contract and commences immediately upon hire. In coordination with the Faribault High School, this candidate will develop, implement and carry out Area Learning Center (ALC) policies and procedures; develop a master schedule for school terms, independent study, summer school, targeted services and other ALC offerings. In addition, this candidate will develop and implement student discipline and attendance policies and programs that are consistent with district policy and the mission of the ALC. This candidate will supervise, hire, assign and evaluate all ALC staff as appropriate. This position will begin immediately upon hire.

Essential Functions:
Implements and administers board policies and local, state or federal laws to provide programming that meets the needs for alternative learning, targeted services, and families in transition.
Provides leadership, direction, supervision, mentoring and development opportunities to staff; recruits, interviews and makes recommendations on personnel actions.
Develop and monitor budget and programming that can be efficiently offered within the budget; seeks additional funds through grants and collaborations, generates and monitors program revenues and fees.
Plan and implement new program initiatives through needs assessments, research and collaboration with others to meet the needs of the community; formulates annual goals and objectives for new and existing programs and services.
Serve as a liaison for resources within the Faribault community and Rice County.
Work as a liaison and advocate for programming by giving presentations and working in collaboration with other similar agencies; representing the department at conferences and other meetings.
Collaborate and coordinate with high school, adult education, special education and EL department to create seamless graduation options for all students.
Collaborate and communicate with community education to design and deliver high quality targeted service options for all students after school and during summer.
Establish and keep various statistical data regarding the program and participants; coordinate data systems between community education and area learning center to identify and address achievement and opportunity gaps for all students.
Act as the district subject matter expert in trauma, equity, families in transition, restorative justice practices; advocate for students and families, train district staff on subjects.
Oversee and ensure accurate procedures are followed for assessments and screenings.
Create and maintain various promotional materials for distribution and marketing of the program into the community.
