Job Summary: Litchfield Public School District is seeking a full-time 1.O FTE Principal for Lake Ripley Elementary School.  This is a 260 day administrative contract and includes 8 paid holidays and 25 days of paid vacation.

Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Minnesota K-12 Administrative Licensure. Pay and benefits will be commensurate with skills and level of experience and placed on the Administrative contract.

Working Conditions: Lake Ripley Elementary School is a Kindergarten through Grade 4 building with 600 students that is supported by a full time dean of students. It is located one hour west of the Mpls./St. Paul Metro area. Litchfield School District has approximately 1600 students in grades E-12 and participates in the Wright County Conference for activities and athletics. The Litchfield School District is also a successful and progressive 1 to 1 school with iPads and Macbooks available to all students.

Essential Functions:

-Model being a reflective practitioner and lead by being present and visible.

-Develop strong relationships with students, staff and parents.

-Continue to improve school climate to positively impact the learning of all students.

-Experience as an administrator or teacher leader essential.

-Have the ability to create effective master schedules at the elementary level.

-Prefer experience in evaluating and coaching instructional personnel and non-classified personnel.

-Prefer experience in administering a comprehensive student discipline program.

-Demonstrated skills and ability to work with staff in developing effective teaching strategies in a team environment.

-Demonstrated ability to ensure student academic success.

-Proficient or exemplary use of computer and technology skills to leverage student achievement.

-Performs other tasks and assumes additional responsibilities as the Superintendent may assign.
