Position Summary
The Licensed K-12 Teacher represents a broad grouping of diverse and different instructional positions
responsible for developing lesson plans and presenting district curriculum in assigned instructional subjects;
delivering and instructing students in lesson plans and instructional material; evaluating and assessing student
progress against instructional outcomes and objectives. Licensed Teachers also participate and collaborate with
other instructional professionals, administrators, parents, counselors, and other district personnel concerning
student needs, issues and district learning initiatives, curriculum and building issues.

backgrounds to assist them with academic planning, personal goal setting, post-secondary options and school
opportunities, family systems/change and/or crisis intervention.

Community Education Coordinator
Lewiston-Altura School District is seeking applicants to serve as the Community Education Coordinator. The part time Coordinator manages the daily operations of the local community education program and is responsible for overall program implementation, supervision and evaluation. The Coordinator will assist in working with the school district to coordinate and be accountable for opportunities that enrich, expand and support the Lewiston-Altura mission, vision and commitment to learning for each student and community member. Preferred qualifications include: experience working with preschool to adult learners, effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, proficient computer skills, experience in supervision and coordination of staff, willingness to adapt rapidly and effectively change to meet program needs, ability to work flexible hours, prioritize work and office organizational functions, problem-solving and decision making skills. Lewiston-Altura School District is seeking a Coordinator for our School Aged Childcare Center (“Cardinal Club”). The part time Coordinator is responsible for daily supervision and operations of the school age and preschool child care program. The program helps parents in the community meet their child care needs. Duties include the supervision and evaluation of all program staff; development of school aged and preschool services and programs; the marketing of its programs/services; the implementation and evaluation of program activities and objectives; monitoring programs activities and functions to assure compliance with district policies, laws or guidelines pertaining to program activities/functions.
