Major Job Functions:
The Administrative Dean is responsible for providing assistance to the Principal in the general administration and management of the building.  The Administrative Dean is the primary administrator and coordinator of the day to day student management and attendance matters.  The Administrative Dean will also assist the principal in hiring and supervising staff as well as providing instructional leadership and staff development opportunities for staff.
In addition, the Dean will provide leadership for the ongoing development and implementation of the Spanish biliteracy program K-12.

Education/Certification Requirements/Perferences:  MN administrative licensure required
High levels of proficiency in English
High levels of proficency in Spanish preferred
Experience Requirements:5 years exemplary teaching experience (Elementary experience preferred)
Experience with language acquisition and billiteracy education in a dual immersion setting with a diverse population including EL students, leadership and awareness of social emotional and educational learning for young learners
Previous leadership positions where instructional change has occurred

Benefits:  As defined by the parameters of the Principal Association to include:The amount of $8,500 annually will be available for the Administrative Dean to distribute as he/she designates among benefits (health insurance, dental insurance).  The Administrative Dean must enroll in at least single health coverage.
Term life insurance policy equal to $150,000.00, the employee may purchase additional coverage (accidental death and dismemberment or supplemental life.)
District contribution to Deferred Compensation Plan:up to $1500 per year (Tenured – 19+ years)
Professional Development:  District contribution of $1500 per year
Professional Association Dues:  District pays for one State and one National association.
Twelve (12) days of Personal Time off (PTO) are granted per year.  This includes:  vacation, sick leave, bereavement, etc.
Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment:  Compensation will be determined by the current agreement negotiated by District 112 and the Principal’s Association.

Position Summary:
The Teacher is a stand-alone classification.  Performs difficult professional work providing a broad range of teaching and direct instructional services or specific learning programs within District curriculum guidelines, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed as a foundation for future learning in accordance with each student’s ability, using a variety of teaching and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience, and related work as apparent or assigned.  Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Building Principal.  Continuous oversight is exercised over paraprofessionals.
