Faribault Public Schools is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time Director of Teaching and Learning to begin July 2018.  The successful candidate for this cabinet-level position is responsible for developing and engaging faculty in initiating and supporting communities of practice in assessment and student learning. The Director will guide educators on how to effectively build, track, and revise curricular goals, learning outcomes, learning objectives and related assessments that establishes best practices and meets standards.  This Director will be part of a leadership team which supports and encourages community involvement with district goals and building school/community pride. The Director provides robust support to various committees serving as either the chair or contributing member (Technology, Staff Development, Curriculum Advisory).

Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities. The school district currently serves approximately 3,700 students in Faribault and our surrounding areas within our community of 23,000 citizens within the city limits. District sites include one early childhood center, three elementary schools K-5, one middle school 6-8, one high school 9-12, one area learning center 9-12 and one education center for adult education.

The historic community of Faribault offers adventure, fun, unique dining, history, shopping and entertainment. Essential Functions:   Plans, supervises, directs and initiates recommendations to the Superintendent of Schools concerning integration, technology,  English Learners, Title, assessments,  and gifted and talented goals. Directs, organizes and participates in district curriculum design, review process, instruction improvement and delivery, programs, materials and equipment selection and over all program assessments.  Reviews and interprets testing data and reports results; making recommendations to the Superintendent of Schools and School Board. Oversees and develops instructional budgets; reviews and approves grants and related budgets, maintains district-wide staff development funds.  Collaborates with all administrative departments to ensure robust inter-departmental communication, budgeting and protocols. Provides support to building administrators with the evaluation process of licensed staff.

Literacy Coach – Elementary

The Richfield Public School District is now accepting applications for a full time Elementary Literacy Coach for the 2018-2019 school year.Just like students, teachers perform at different levels in different facets of their work. A great coach can differentiate instruction to target specific needs of teachers.  Coaching helps teachers take important instructional concepts they learn and apply them in the classroom, and research shows that coaching helps improve student achievement (Zarrow, 2014).

Responsibilities include:

●     Schedule and implement coaching cycles with teachers around best practices in literacy

●     Work with teachers to collect, analyze and interpret data

●     Co-plan, co-teach and model integration of literacy practices into classroom instruction throughout the school day

●     Conducting and analyzing literacy needs assessments

●     Selecting and prioritizing implementation of evidence-based literacy practices

●     Maintaining a data system and generating reports of professional development efforts, fidelity of practices, student outcomes

●     Regular attendance at all required district and state meetings

●     Facilitate and participate in all district and building professional development

●     Be an active and contributing member of school leadership team

Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment:  Compensation will be determined by District 112 and the Chaska Education Association (CEA).

Middle School Principal

MAJOR POLICY RESPONSIBILITY:

 

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Middle Principal is responsible for providing educational leadership and management oversight of building personnel in implementing educational programming, curriculum, instruction, safety and district policies and procedures within the building. Duties include responsibilities for coordinating the hiring of all staff; evaluating instructional personnel; implementing and overseeing building budget(s); coordinating and implementing district initiatives within the building; performing community/public relations activities in addressing and resolving issues, concerns and programs of the elementary with staff, parents, administration and the community.
