Middle School Literacy Summer School
Middle School Literacy Summer School Teaching: July 9-12 (M-Th); July 16-19 (M-Th); July 23-26(M-Th); July 30-31 ((M-Tues). Must be available June 28 from 8am-2pm for staff orientation and planning.
Summer School locations: Nicollet Middle School, Eagle Ridge Middle School
Hours: 7:30am-12:45pm
Compensation: $31.25 per instructional hour; $21.00 per hour for orientation, workshops
Licensure: Minnesota license for grades 6, 7 or 8. Reading, Language Arts, Communication Arts/Literature or English license preferred.

Elementary K-5 Summer School
K-5 Elementary Classroom Summer School Teaching: July 9-12 (M-Th); July 16-19 (M-Th); July 23-26(M-Th); July 30-31 ((M-Tues). Must be available June 28 from 8am-2pm for staff orientation and planning.
Summer School locations: Sioux Trail, Sky Oaks, Hidden Valley, MW Savage
Hours: 7:45am-1:00pm
Compensation: $31.25 per instructional hour; $21.00 per hour for June 28 preparation day.
Licensure: Minnesota 1-6 teaching license; kindergarten license needed for kindergarten positions.
Director of Principal Leadership
Job Summary:
Plan and direct the administration of the district’s elementary and secondary schools including supervision of all building Principals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Inspires principals to be innovative in their thinking, planning, and leadership
· Coach principals to lead their staff through a visioning process; help principals implement their new transformational visions
· At the beginning of the year, helps elementary and secondary leaders identify a clear set of expectations that directly align to the survey feedback provided by staff at the end of previous year
· Skillfully helps principals prioritize building needs, within context of district priorities
· Assist the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent with strategic planning, site planning and site plan implementation efforts
· Facilitate principals in setting district-aligned goals
· Schedule bi-weekly meetings with principals (part check-in and coaching, part classroom co-visits)
· Use cognitive coaching skills to move principals’ thinking toward transformational solutioning
· Partner with Director of Teaching and Learning to build principal capacity as key instructional leader
· Partner with Coordinator of Professional Development (PD) to develop, guide, and implement professional learning for teachers and paras.
· Help principals build manageable observation and feedback systems for staff that include clearly defined support from peer coaches
· Support principals in effective PBIS implementation as means of building positive, predictable, safe, and consistent school-wide cultures
· Support principals in determining and fulfilling role at data meetings; assist principals with discipline data reviews
· Complete and submit semi-annual district-wide discipline reports
· Serve as primary facilitator for the student discipline process review committee
· Build principals’ capacity to navigate high-profile parent disciplinary concerns
· Troubleshoot implementation issues around redesigned/transformed student cultures and restorative justice practices
· Support principals in developing productive relationships with key district office staff
· Work with district leaders to revise district-level processes and requirements that are current barriers to school and principal success
· Partner with Human Resources and Coordinator of PD to develop training and implementation of processes around necessary job functions (e.g., investigation, hiring, supervision etc).
· Audit and process annual step increases
· Partner with Human Resources to develop growth-based evaluation process for principals and assistant principals
· Provide accurate and detailed non-evaluative and evaluative feedback to principals
· Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.
