Adult Education Community Liaison

Posting Dates: 9/14/17 thru 9/20/17 or until filled Hours: 32 hours per/week including two (2) evenings per week, 12 months Job Title: Adult Education Community Liaison Employment Group: Non Affiliated Department: Community Education Position Summary: The Adult Education Community Liaison will meet with prospective students and others in the community, provide them with information about our adult education programming, and begin to develop a relationship with these employers to improve the academic skills of their employees. Primary Job Functions: 1.Meet with prospective students to complete intake process. 2.Market Adult Education Programming in the Community. 3.Create/build collaborations with area business/government/school district to improve job skills of low skill, low wage job seekers. 4.Organize and convene meetings with local employers to build support for career pathway projects designed to meet the immediate and future needs of local and regional businesses. 5.Develop short-term internship programs and longer term apprenticeship programs for current Adult Education students in collaboration with Adult Education teachers and local businesses. 6.Organize and manage special events as needed (annual College Fair, etc.) 7.Other Duties as Assigned.
